Sorry if this is not the most approriate place to comment on this, but I didn't see another place to put it.

It's not horror, but has anyone else seen the live performance of "The Lion King"? I took my brother, sis-in-law, niece and nephew to see it last night in Minneapolis. It was spec-fucking-tacular! OMG!

If it comes to your town, I highly recommend it. It was visually and audioally (or whatever the correct word for that is) amazing. Trually a sensory delight!

It's funny, I was thinking of posting a thread about Disney's "Enchanted" here, but since you posted a Disney thread I will just talk about that here. I haven't seen the Lion King on stage, I did like the movie quite a bit, even though it is basically a nicely-presented retelling of "Kimba the White Lion."

"Enchanted" is not bad, not a classic but a fun holiday movie with some great moments.

I'd imagine it would be dangerous with all those lions...

i saw it in new york a few years back - and, because of a friend, got a backstage tour and got to talk with the guy who designed and constructed the lion costumes (can't remember his name now but he was really cool and had also done the tech for the Little Shop of Horrors stage and remake movie - as well as tons of other set designing like the Devil's Advocate - why i can remember almost everything he talked about and not his name is beyond me - but it was way cool)

I used to sell tickets for for that and a bunch of other plays in NYC, I used to work for ticketmaster, they even sent us on a trip to see it once (by they, I mean disney, because we pretty much worked for them.) The coolest part was all the animals walking down the aisle. I got an aisle seat and almost crapped my pants when an elephant(bunch of people with a giant puppet basicly) walked past me.

Yah, I had an aisle seat too, on the elephant side. I thought something was up because right before it started some guy came down the aisle and made sure everyone's coats were inside their seats. Then whoa, hello, giant elephant puppet sauntering past me followed by a parade of other animals. I agree, that was reeeeally cool!

And to anyone that hasn't seen it, I assure you, even knowing that much will not spoil the experience for you. Although if you get balcony seats, I'm not sure what they do up there.
