still chugging along - we should be making a formal announcement in the trades soon. I'll certainly let you all know.
I'm waiting on a contract as I write this...everything has to be locked down by midnight tomorrow when the WGA strike kicks in. Lots of pressure on the entertainment lawyers out here to get shit done fast.

He hasn't signed yet. It's just a verbal agreement - deal points need to be hammered out. I'll let you know when it's really happening.
But either way I've had two horror icons not only say they like my writing, but want to direct the scripts I've written. It is a tremendously validating experience.

I am. I signed the deals with the producers well before the strike deadline. They are free to shop the material around to whomever they choose, I simply will not be available for rewrites (if any are needed) until the strike is over.
But Argento can rewrite us if he likes. He isn't bound by the WGA and has nothing to fear from them.
I certainly wouldn't mind sharing a writing credit with him!
All I'm working on these days are comic books. I've written 3 22 page installments of what will be a 7 book arc that can later be assembled as a single graphic novel.

Dario Argento Back to Giallo in Yellow?
Source: ShockTillYouDrop.com
November 14, 2007
Early rumblings of Dario Argento's next project have floated our way.
An insider tells us the Mother of Tears director may take a crack at a "loving homage" to the giallo films of the '60s and '70s entitled Yellow - an apropos moniker since giallo means "yellow" in Italian and was a popular term used to describe mystery and crime pulp fare.
Argento's Tenebrae, Bird with the Crystal Plummage and Deep Red are all classic and rich with the red stuff examples of gialli.
Hannibal Films' Richard Rionda Del Castro and Rafael Primorac are championing the Yellow script by writers Sean Keller and Jim Agnew. Tuck this under your hat as rumor at this point and keep it here for the latest while we aim to carve up some confirmation.

We have to film it first. How well it opens depends on who purchases the film for distribution. Claudio & Dario believe in the film so much that they are purchasing the Italian distribution rights. They think it's going to be a big hit:D
We're an independent, so we need to secure foreign sales territories in order to acquire the bank loan to cover the film's rather modest budget.
It should be a theatrical release - and it WILL be in Italy - but I cannot guarantee you'll get it in English/American/Australian/European/Pan-Asian theaters.

good article from Variety
ROME — Italo horror-meister Dario Argento will shoot “Giallo,” an English-language homage to the genre that made him a cult helmer, with Ray Liotta, Vincent Gallo and Argento’s daughter Asia Argento attached to star.
Argento’s latest thriller will revolve around serial slashings of some very attractive women being investigated by a solitary cop, played by Liotta, who engages in a cat-and-mouse game with the psychopathic perpetrator, played by Gallo.
Los Angeles-based Hannibal Pictures, headed by Richard Rionda Del Castro, is co-producing “Giallo” with Argento’s own Rome-based Opera Film shingle. The screenplay is by Yank scribes Jim Agnew and Sean Keller.
Hannibal’s Rafael Primorac will produce with Rionda Del Castro and Opera’s Claudio Argento both taking executive producer hats. Hannibal will kick off “Giallo” presales at the upcoming EFM mart in Berlin.
Shooting on “Giallo” is set to start in February in Turin, the Northern Italian city where Argento shot his most recent slasher, “The Mother of Tears,” also starring Asia Argento. The Turin Piedmont Film Commission is providing production incentives.
True to its title, which means “yellow” in Italian and is the Italo term for pulpy thrillers, “Giallo” will aim to deliver the slasher thrills of Argento’s cult classics of the 70s, such as “The Bird with the Crystal Plumage,” “Suspiria” and “Deep Red,” a stage musical version of which is currently launching in Italy.
