For those of you who do care (unlike Vamp/Return recently), and wondered why I have been sporadic (updating the tourneys only)...Dani was involved in an accident the day I returned from Phoenix. She was returning home from office and some biker jumped the red light in an intersection and smashed right into the side of her car. (just in front of the driver door) He was thrown away but was ok, got up all shaken and stuff. But Dani was not.
Long news short...her right leg got stuck in the car and she had to be helped out very gently. She has sustained a broken kneecap, ligaments torn in the knee area, and a fracture of the fifth metatarsal (thats the bone attached to the smallest toe and extends to the ankle), and a gaping wound on the right side of the right foot just below the big toe. They have advised her 2-3 months rest and rehab thereafter. And since there's nobody else around for us, I have to do double-duty...ergo my job AND my job at home, both.
So...till she gets a bit better (which is unlikely for the next 3-4 weeks) I will be a bit sporadic. I know most of you like the updates of the Upcoming Horror section, especially the newest DVD releases and Trailers and such...and I would really appreciate if some of you keep updating those till I have a bit more of spare time on my hands.
Its been a sort of bad month for both of us, and this was like the climax of everything...so, well...till I post an update, all the best, guys...I guess.
(P.S. - I would love to see anyone (even massacre man) to take the HDC movie part V to an explosive and charged conclusion...its all yours, from the point I left it)

I'm home almost every day so I can post some Upcoming Momvie links and trailers if you like,
Also, I wish Dani a speedy recovery. I know hard it is for foot injuries to heal. When I broke my foot it healed crooked and I may have to have it rebroken. Not fun.
Damn V......sorry to hear the news. Prioritys my friend...prioritys. This place will keep chugging along.
Keep us updated.

Sorry to hear this V. Wishing Dani a full, and quick recovery. Do whatever you need for her and yourself, but just know that you will definitely be missed around here while you aren't around. Best wishes to you both. :)
Sorry to hear your news
This October seems not to like anybody round here for some reason.
Hope Dani, has a quick and safe recovery.

Good luck, my brother needed years of PT after needing his knee replaced because of a stupid driver. I hope everything goes smoothly and I'll try to post about upcoming movies and dvds (although even if I post next week about something you'll probably have beaten me to it).

Thanks a lot, guys.
Of course, there are a few of you who would have eventually tossed me a PM asking what was up with me. It was easier to PM everyone (I know), and starting a thread in the General Section would be deemed "attention seeking" by some...but then there was no other way of sending a message to one and all...and the PM option is limited to 5 people at the same time so...sorry, if this thread offended anyone on the contrary.
Anyway, she is on meds and the docs have advised her to keep moving her toes around (curl them ever so slightly once in awhile, so that the circulation keeps going and stuff), and plenty of rest. Hopefully the rehab stint with plenty of physiotherapy will help speed things up for a good recovery.

Sending my very best wishes for her swift recovery. Make her some chicken soup and set her up in front of a few of her favorite movies.

Good luck, try to enjoy yourself, and stay positive. You'll get through these dark days just fine because you're efficient, quick and compassionate and have more than enough good karma for two.

Man, my heart goes out to you.
Hope Dani gets better quickly and makes a full recovery.
It is so hard watching someone you love and care about seriously ill or injured. Even worse when it could have been avoided.
Seriously, don't think twice about taking time away from here. You give so much to this place, and we are all in your debt more than we can repay already. So do what you have to do ... we will survive.
You will both be in my thoughts.

Avi, I'm so sorry to hear this; bad shit always happens to good people, and it sounds like this thing has taken a terrible toll on the both of you. What's important is that you're there taking care of this thing, and know that soon it will be better, and things will return to a somewhat normal pace.
Trust me: This place will not be the same without you, and we'll be anxiously awaiting your return with eager ears on the status of your situation.
Take care, my man.

I will do my best to pop in here as often as I can.
