For a movie that hasn't even started production, isn't trying to get a video game made a bit odd?

Did you see any of the script samples on the Diamond Dead website? Good god.

"A clawed hand slashes downward in a vicious tearing arc. The
FIRST MAN screams as his face is splattered with blood. The
second man turns to look behind himself. He comes face to
face with a horrifying tight shot of a fanged mouth. The four
figures drag the two men to the ground like a pack of hyenas
and begin tearing at them feverishly.
ANOTHER ANGLE
ARIA DE WINTER stands on the roof
of a tomb overlooking the cemetery.
She's carrying an electric guitar
and a pignose
portable amp. She looks around, turns on the amp and launches
into a grinding guitar solo, silhouetted against the moon."

Wow, that's some crazy shit. The guy that wrote some of the songs for Rocky Horror is supposed to be doing the songs for Diamond Dead. A zombie/musical-what a concept.

You think that George Romero would know better.

I don't know if this film is going to be terrible or fantastic, but no matter what, it's got cult classic written all over it.

Trust me, George Romero knows exactly what he is doing. The website is
already the second most successful movie-site in history and is closing in on number 1. George's son, Cameron, and his company Cameron Multimedia
created and maintain the site. As far as the video game is concerned, surely
you realize a game can take longer to develop than a movie, sometimes.
Hence, the video game talks so early in the game.
This movie is without a doubt history in the making. It's the first Open-
Source film of it's kind, and if you have a suggestion or comment,
you are able to post it or just ask George, himself. A portion of the
site allows you to ask anyone involved any question you like.

Sorry, I don't know shit about video game development. I just thought they would want to make sure the movie was a success first.

Let me first say that I will support Romero and will watch this movie, and any other movie he makes in the future. It's a zombie-musical...how could I not watch it. My questions are:

Will it be theatrical (and I don't mean just in New York and L.A.)?
Will it be more comedy than horror? Or the right blend?
Has Romero seen Happiness of the Katikuri's? I think that's what he's competing with and I hope Diamond Dead is just as great.
What does "Open-Source" film mean?

A perfect blend. You will truly be blown away, as will all horror fans.
Open- Source (view "press" on the left column of website) allows the fans to
have a say about nearly every aspect of the making of Diamond Dead.
The input from the fans is crucial in making this a success.
Cameron Multimedia in Wexford, PA. is owned and operated by George's son
and have created and maintain the site and all the marketing for this
project and work around the clock to make this happen.
There are new things to check out all the time and will soon have a forum up and running.

You're making me very happy. Hope Diamond Dead can do the same. I just took one of my questions over to the site but I doubt if it gets answered.

Who did you ask, if you don't mind my asking?
I'll soon be manning the nearly -built music portion of the site
which will have some extremely cool stuff..........
More Later!

Well, it was kind of directed to Romero but I know he doesn't like talking about other people's movies so I slipped in "or any other member involved in production."

I have a feeling I'll be checking out that site more often.

-An open source movie is a neat idea, though IMO stories that are written by committee tend to suck.
-Most movies with zombies don't suck.
-Most musicals suck.
-All rock musicals suck. I'm trying to think of one that doesn't suck but not having much luck.

I will go see Diamond Dead and will be happy if it doesn't suck... but I'm not holding my breath.

I am the producer of Diamond Dead. Somebody said that he doubts that his question will be answered on our website, www.diamondead.com. Just want you to know that we answer all questions - and personally. We take this seriously. Did you ask a question, and was it answered? I'd like to know.
