Yes, a good question! I want to know what you have planned. People are doing all sorts of different things...going to parties, seeing haunted attractions, some people are handing out treats, some are cooking for their families or taking care of their folks, some people are curling up with a spooky book or a good old movie. It is different all around.

I am extremely busy right now (ah...some interesting new developments, but I'll fill you in on that in another post!) but I am trying my very best to do Halloween properly. I have mailed out some cards and a few gifts, have gone Halloween shopping and bought some interesting goodies, and I have looked at Halloween store window displays at night if I have not been able to get to these places during regular business hours.

What are you doing this Halloween? Crabapple (filmmaker R+odd M+atsui) wants to know.

Crabapple says to the people in the picture: Carry on, you!

Your upcoming party sounds like great fun!

I am probably not throwing a party, I usually attend other people's parties, but this year I might just throw one. If I do it will be a small, impulsive thing.

I'm gonna try finding an orange mask like Zombie's Halloween and go to school with a bath robe and slippers so I can knock on occupied bathroom stalls and see if anyone tries to cut that mask right off my face.

There's a chance I'll get stuck working on Halloween, which would suck, but if I don't then I'm definately going to beat the shit out of little kids and steal their candy. It's a tradition.

Apparently there will be no trick or treaters here, so kind of a disappointment. :( But I haven't lived anywhere for years where there were any. I miss giving candy out and traumatizing the children. My dad used to put on a good show, he'd scare the heck out of 'em before we handed the candy out.....that was such fun.:p Gotta a lot of repeat visitors actually...lol.

I feel sorry for the americans who have moved over here. We have little estates that are specifically for the americans as well as an american base, and at halloween, they are full. There are kids everywhere. The doors are usually always open because there are children at the door within 2 seconds of each other.

Halloween over in the states has really taken a brutal beating due to paranoid overprotective parents. It's not nearly what it used to be, we hardly get 10 kids coming to the door nowadays which is a true shame. Halloween has been and always will be my favorite "holiday"(I consider it to be one though I know many don't) and will do all I can to make sure my siblings get to feel that same excitement I could never wait for as a kid. But yeah I will partying all night until I can't party anymore then after that I will party some more. Oh yeah and watch the $300 I've spent on horror movies the last couple months, someone should cut me off.:D

Switching the lights off and pretending no one's home, then as the little brats.........erh...... darlings leave, open the door and let my dog "play" with them.

So is trick or treating big in Glasgow?

tic
10-10-2007, 08:59 AM
Couldn't say, I don't actually live in Glasgow. Just outside it.

Around where I am its slowly dying, maybe had 5 or 6 children come round last year, then again I have a big warning notice, "Trick or treaters will be eaten"

Bonfire Night (5th of November) seems more popular, lets all the budding arsonists have a legitimate reason for setting fire to everything.

Ooooh I wanna be there. By any chance, will you be also be reading "The Bells?" Sidenote: I have 2 Edgar Allen Poe books, copyrighted 1906.

As for Halloween, I will be going out trick or treating with my kid. Then coming home & watching movies on cable. Tough choice will be what movies to watch.
