In 1995 or 1996 i saw on a romanian channel a version of "The Guardian" where tree branches were raising from her hands (her hands branch out) and in the end of the movie she was trapped by the mother in a corner of a room and the nanny with an otherworldly face starts screaming while little pieces from her face begin to unloose (to unbind), as if they were sucked by/into something.

Has somebody else seen too what i described above?

Is there a difference between the TV version and say the DVD version ? I've seen both and can't remember.

There are two versions of "The Guardian": the theatrical cut, credited to William Friedkin, and a modified cut, credited to "Alan Smithee". The Alan Smithee cut has never been released on video but has been shown on cable. It includes new scenes including another scene in the hospital; different dream sequences; a scene of the nanny waking the wife up and alternate angles for other scenes. Also, the ending of the cable cut is different and omits much of the gore.

Well, Alan Smithee is a well known psuedonym used when somebody doesn't want to put their real name on something.
