We just got out of the pool, and the water is getting pretty cold...It looks like were going to have to stop swimming soon :(

We are basicly Fall type people, but the pool has really made this summer fun

Are you guys lamenting summer's passing, too?

These pictures were taken with my cell phone, so the quality is pretty bad, but it's all I've got right now

It's the ''off-season'' of football, it's hot as hell, all those reality/talent shows start up on tv, doesn't get dark until about 9:00...

Besides the big movie releases I really just don't like anything about summer.

I hate seeing summer go as well, but I do love cold weather...

The pic of Ash and the banana pudding is too funny..

You have an inflatable pool, I used to sell pools, it looks like a large one, you know you could probably put it in the ground...

by the way, I should be heading into summer, but now I'm on the other side of the world it is becoming a freezing winter... oh so quickly...

You have an inflatable pool, I used to sell pools, it looks like a large one, you know you could probably put it in the ground...It's 18 feet wide and 4 1/2 feet deep...Only the top ring is inflatable (Keeps the kids from getting hurt on it)...It's very convenient because when summer's over, we can just empty it and put it in the shed :)

Yeah, it could definatley go in the ground, that's what I would be doing next summer... but then you have to deal with the council, yuk...

I am thinking of having a few holidays this winter to sunnier places... got any suggestions?

On this side of the world it is springtime, the days are getting warmer now.

I really prefer the summer - give me a day that is "too hot" to one that is "too cold" anytime. I actually end up feeling a bit sad every year when I realise that summer is over and the days are starting to get colder again.

In a way. Down here in New Orleans when summer is over it means hurricane season is about over too! So that is good news!

But, yes. I like the warmer weather as compared to the freezing cold weather we occasionally get down here.

However, my favorite times of the year are autumn and spring. We don't get much of eather. Looks like they go right into summer or winter. These seasons are not very long down here!

I particularly like to see the leaves change and the pumpkins in a frosty field.

I want to one day go on a Fall foalige tour up in New England.

But also remember about Autumn:

"Even a man who is pure in heart
and says his prayers by night
may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms
and the autumn moon is bright"

Thanks for showing me how to do the photos.

Have a great evening> Watch a horror movie!

My brother and myself used to swim in the middle December. If you dive right in the freezing feeling goes away pretty quick and then it's just cool, which is better than being in the blazing heat anyway imo.

HaHaHa...OUR Decembers aren't like YOUR Decembers...If you tried to dive in HERE in December, you'd get a concussion from cracking your head on the ice...:p

It's been in the 80's but is so humid, I walk outside and sweat buckets.

I miss the ocean, and everything that goes with summer at the beach.

Yeah, I figured that. I wouldn't mind living up north someday, winters last longer and it doesn't get nearly as hot as it does here. I'm not too big on swimming anyway or anything else that requires heat.

I really loved living up for the few 5 years, but MY GOD the winters were unbelievable.
Power out for days, no sun for MONTHS, winter seemed to drag on way too long for sanity sake.

I love fall......and have always hated the summertime. But I am dreading winter this year. I'm okay as long as it doesn't drop below 0, because then it isn't so bad.....but those days, I hide and miss being in Georgia.....;) I definitely did NOT miss Georgia weather this summer though, they were having record breaking heat, and it is never what you could exactly call pleasant down there anyway. The humidity is a killer.

That's the whole point, hell I might go to Alaska. Cold all the time, dark half the year and twilight most of the other half.

God no, I won't miss summer at all! It got up to 115 degrees, plus humidity here! And I must say, this hasn't been the best summer I've ever had either. Not much fun at all.:( I want winter to come, at least I won't be working in the heat.

In Scotland, Summer lasts for about 2 days, which invariably means everyone misses Summer over here. We had the first frost the other day, a number of cars' windows where all frozen up, and it's still September.

We do have some good sunny days, even warm ones, but the majority seem to be grey. :(

I hate the summer time.I can't walk out my door for 10 seconds before I start sweating like a madman.I do love the fall. Not to cold not to hot.I like being able to wear just a long sleeve shirt. If it was like this all year round that would be just fine with me.

wow seri looks so different...

Around here its pretty unbearable during the summer, so it doesnt even start to cool off till mid october, sometimes mid november...

Its still hot as shit here but with the coming months it will cool off enough to actually stay outside...

I'd like to be able to say 'yes i'll miss summer' only.....ours never started, seems like apart from a few odd days we've had nothing but high winds, torrential rain and very grey skies for months, since summer 2006 ended in fact, and now we're at the start of the autumn season it means we've got at least another 6 months of the same thing before we see sunlight again :( :(

.... and folks wonder why i sit staring at the full moon, oh for a fur coat, and teeth to vent my displeasure :D

I've always been a winter person. I like the snow, being in by the fire. The early darkness and the "magic" in the air for christmas and my birthday, boxing day and new years eve. Of course, from january to february it's boring. But I really do miss this summer. It went to quickly. I suppose Autumm just has to come.

So many people wouldn't get that joke!

The irish are too busy arguing to think about weather, the welsh don't know when it's gonna rain because they have sheep and not cows and we just make fun of everyone else too hide our dissapointment with our weather!

It's lovely where the seasons change. Back home in Manila, it either rains or shines. That's all.

I love the change of seasons. Being a tropical fish, I've always looked forward to the summer. Finnish summer is too damn short. And this year, it passed me by.
