I was surprised today when I got a private message from Neverending saying that I won one of the 2007 HDC awards, that of the most outstanding new member. Wow!
I was really surprised and very pleased at the same time.
I wasn't aware that I made that much of an impression on this forum.
So thanks again for your confidence and support.
By the way I don't dye my hair gray. It's a granny wig that covers a bald head!
It's a former Halloween costume that I went out as a "elderly granny".
I thought it would be fun to use as my character on this forum.
I enjoy costuming, fun and this forum!

You deserved it :)
And...While your character is pretty cool...I, for one, would really like it if YOU (the real person) would join us, too
It would be nice to learn more about you

I agree with Rayne- the character is cool, but I like to relate to people without the artifice. That said, if the character is what floats your boat, that's cool.
I enjoy reading your reviews and I voted for you, too :)

I am a professional and work for a major company, I am a movie buff, I am very much into collectibles such as presidential signatures and papers, vintage movie star autographs. I have a very large DVD and VHS collection of movies and documentaries. I plan to do writing about films, actors, TV, etc. after I retire.
I do a blog on classic movies and tv on Yahoo 360. The site is called The Movie Buff. It is not open to the public but will accept invitations to be a friend.
I also have a very large record collection of rock n roll, do wop, jazz, opera, classical singers, classical instrumental, easy listening ( vocal & instrumental) & Broadway musicals. No Rap or hip hop PLEEZE!
I enjoy walking, exercising, fishing and going for rides in the country. I enjoy short vacations.
I also enjoy going out to eat, to movies, theatre, opera and the symphony, costume affairs and benefits, and socializing with my family and friends. I have several left feet so I really don't enjoy dancing!
I am single but have a new lady interest. I am excited about this. But she doesn't like horror movies. Can you imagine that! I'll have to change her mind on that matter!
As far as costumes go, I costume as Mozart, Washington, Little Lord Fauntleroy, Merlin The Magician, A Grande Aunte in a 120" hoopskirt, A Roman Centurian, A Midieviel Friar, A Colonial Tradesman, A Colonial Partgoer, Monsieur Beaucaire and Duke D'Orleans (French Aristocrats) and Charley's Aunt ( from the play). The Granny outfit came from converting a middle aged Charley's Aunt into an elderly Granny by using a granny wig and glasses, a shawl and a corn cob pipe.
What I really want to do costume wise is portray Charlie Chan, the Oriental detective as well as King Arthur and Diamond Jim Brady.
Well, that's about it.
Any questions, jest hollar!
By the way I live in metro New Orleans and was here for Hurricane Katrina. Life is getting back to normal here but there is a long way to go to get our city up to snuff!
I sure enjoy this forun and have been a great fan of both horror and sci fi movies!
And thanks for the 2007 HCA award!

If I can ever figure out how to post a picture on my posts, I would be glad to.
You would love the Little Lord fauntleroy and Mozart. The Colonials are great and the Aunte is something else! The French aristocrats reflect history down here in southern Louisiana.
Let me know. I am stupid in this area since this is all new to me.
Congrats :)
To put an image onto the forum try finding a website that does image/picture hosting, such as 'Photobucket' where you upload an image onto their site and then can download it from there to here.
I think by Left clicking then copy (image), then Paste works; but haven't posted an image for a while, so success not gauranteed.

Judging by the picture in his sig (hard to see cos it's small), i think he'd look great as Norman Bates mother in Psycho :D

How old is she anyway? I can't tell. Is that all make up or are you really wrinkly. Let us know your true self.
You shouldn't ask a Lady her age, especially when you know who her dad is!

I would laugh if I understood that. I'm 13 so I can't understand things like that. ***Wink, wink***

Yes. I am a "he". You're right! That's quite a costume!
But it is a pain in the ass to put on. Once it's on, I can navigate pretty well in it!
The 120" hoopskirt can be a problem though. But I love to sit down and have it pop up! Lol!
