Someone PLEASE tell me how to keep a diaper on this baby!

For about 6 months now, he has decided that he prefers to be naked...Until this week I was able to keep his diaper on him by putting underwear, shorts, pants or pajama bottoms on over his diaper...But NOW he has figured out how to remove ALL of his clothes...So while I'm trying to cook dinner, do laundry, or anything else that keeps me from putting his clothes back on every 10 minutes, he runs around the house completely naked...I JUST put his clothes back on him 5 minutes ago, and he just ran through here stark naked again!

I'm afraid that if I put diaper pins in them, he'll get poked, and I sure as hell can't GLUE them on him...Who the fuck thought this 'velcro closure' was a good idea for a fucking DIAPER? (Give me their phone number, if ya got it...I'd like to voice an OPINION)...Alex and Seri had the sticky tabs on their diapers and I NEVER had this problem before...

My brothers did that for a couple months too, so did my neice, cousin ect. I guess some just do it longer than others.

Your kid might have a different thing going on, but if it is in fact just a phase it's probably just like everything else and he'll just get the idea eventually.

They keep going with the bottle until they realize everybody else is eating real food. They keep diving off of stuff until they realize that shit hurts too much...ect.

Yeah...I really should have done it a long time ago...I had considered it...Thought it was kinda stupid...But, now I direct all of my friends to this forum, so it's a little easier for them to find me this way, because they all call me Rayne

And...I really thought I could just live with it...But, every time I see it, I just can't get past the travesty that Boll created...It really does piss me off...

Now I don't hafta deal with it...Or even think about it.......Until someone brings up that damned movie:mad: ...I'll still claim the GAME though :)...THAT'S BloodRayne

Get the ones where the straps start and end on either side of the shoulder and completely cover the chest. I believe it would have to be a fucking crafty baby to slip out of that.

Obviously something ridiculous could really hurt him, but for the most part all kids do that and sure they mess themselves up sometimes but once again, that's just going to happen. That in no way is supposed to stop you from being scared because you're his mom and like all the different stuff he's going to do that's just something you're going to do.

I was thinking the same thing. Duct tape is a good way to keep the diaper on, although it's a pain in the butt to get off sometimes. If you're desparate, it'll work.:)

Hey, rayne... Try a onesie. he has to figure out how to undo the snaps and get the diaper off from underneath the damn thing.

Lily has recently started unzipping her sleepers and pulling off her underwear at night... So far (thank god) she hasnt figured out plling off her pants after unzipping the sleeper, so we are good on that so far.

Well...I found some silver duct tape, black electrical tape, beige masking tape, clear packaging tape, scotch tape, and a fat roll of white threaded tape...Don't ask WHY we have so many different kinds of tape in our basement...MUAHAHAHA :p :D

I put the white threaded tape on his diaper tabs and he was NOT happy about it...He kept trying to pick it off, but it stayed on!...So, I guess that means it's gonna work...But, boy is he pissed off....He forgets about it for a second, does something else, then goes right back to it again...It's gonna take him some time to get used to it

Right now he's sitting in Dustin's lap, in front of our other computer (right next to me) watching some metal videos...He's happy now, and has forgotten about the diaper tape trauma for the moment...haha

21 months. 22 on Oct 1. She is brilliant, there is pretty much no word you can say to her that she cant repeat back. she has a huge vocabulary :D

Aww...That is awesome...I am so happy for you, Vod...Did you know that little girls learn a lot faster than little boys?...Seri pretty much potty trained HERSELF at 18 months, just by going in the bathroom and sitting on her potty every time I was in there...But, ALEX...He was actually old enough to SAY, "I don't wanna use the potty" before I could get him trained...And he was so defiant about it, too

Enjoy your little one, Vod...They don't stay little like this for very long :)

Just noticed this, and I may repeat something that you were allready told, but my neighbors son did the same thing when he was younger, And yes it pretty much is a phase, and mostly they do it because they get a reaction out of you. Also, kids learn by getting hurt. you can't change that fact, they may be your baby but they are little people with their own minds, you can't force them to do what you want them to do, all you can do is show them what they should do and hope they do it. They aren't robots.

Funny story-I will remember this when I'm old and sitting staring at nothing in my rocker at the old folks home.

My first daughter was taking her usual nap one day.
She's maybe 11 months old at the time.
I start to wonder why she's sleeping so long.
I take a quick peek into her room expecting to see her still sleeping like a little angel.
She's awake!
And QUIET.
So, I go in and start to say...'aww, helllooo.......ummmmm'
.
She had taken her diaper off, with poo-ALOT of poo, and made a very artistic painting on the wall, the crib sheets, blankets, pillow, sleep buddy, her body, her mouth-IN HER MOUTH, and not to miss out, dropped a little pile on the carpet by the crib.

Oh, I laughed and laughed .....

...yep, they had to drug me to stop that laughter:eek:

Seri's first birthday party...She was sitting in her high chair...I was getting her cake and presents ready...My mother walked over to Seri (about 6 feet behind me), and she said, "What did you give this baby to eat?"...I said, "a hot gog...What? You never seen a hot dog before?" (cuz, I'm kind of a smart ass)...lol...Then my mother said, "Please tell me it had chili on it..."

And well...It didn't...Seri's hands were covered in poo, and so was her hot dog...She was just happily squishing it between her fingers...Fortunately, she did NOT put it in her mouth...Ugh...

Actually I have a story, about me when I was like 1 or 2, see I had wandered off into the woods on my parents one day. Found the neighbors dog and just walked around the woods for a few hours I guess. While I was doing that my parents were flipping out, calling the cops, there were choppers in the air looking for me, and people going all through the woods. I come back 3 hours later, walking with the neighbors dog, and tell my parents "I sawa dew" also known as " I saw a deer." I've been told this story a hundred times, and my mom always ends up telling that to somebody at any party we're at.

They didn't have the velcro tabs when Zach was born but since Austin, Ashton, and Alexis were born, which I can't beleieve it's been 4 months already, I've found out that I hate those fuckin velcro tabs... We've been going through about 150 to 200 diapers a week!!!

Doing well, they are getting big and I am getting hardly any sleep lol

I just got Alexis back to sleep about ten minutes ago and I'm sure Austin and Ashton will be waking up soon, we were starting to get them on a good schedule but Austin and Alexis both had hernia operations recently and we havn't gotten them back on a schedule, so it's been a little chaotic so to speak...
