Yes, coming soon you can read MORE stuff from the guy everybody hates! I'm starting a website in which I review movies. To start I'm reviewing about five movies and will build off of that. I've got Chicago and Moonlight Mile done, anybody have any other movie suggestions? Doesn't have to be limited to horror (OMG NOT TALKING ABOUT HORROR!)

How about Memento, since it's your avatar? I'd like to hear your comments on Donnie Darko and the Wes Anderson films too.

Also, why don't you review Gigli Sam.

Sam The Egg

Memento is a possibility, as is Donnie Darko. But much like 90% of America, I haven't seen Gigli.
Here (http://ravenbomb.250free.com/STEgreatestmovies.html)'s what I have done of the site so far (Top 72 movies. I'm working my way to 100), in addition to this banner:http://ravenbomb.250free.com/STEmoviething.jpg

This top 100 sounds cool. I noticed Dark City on your banner. Awesome. Ebert does commentary on the DVD.

We don't always see eye to eye, but I can tell your a film buff and am interested in your list of flicks. Let me know when the list is completed. I'm checking out what you got so far now.

Just wondering if you realized you may have given yourself away as Ravenbomb?

Really? I figured I did that a little while ago, with the picking an argument with moony and the loving of Kairo and hating of hippies and when I said 'ZING!' not too long ago and saying 'fuck that noise' and calling people christ puncher.

Actually, you gave it away in your first post on here as Sam and I called you out on it. Good times.

really? What'd I say?
Oh, I forgot about when I said 'ban me again' in the +1 thread

Ravenbomb's posts had been deleted. Yet Moonsorrow's quote still made sense with the absence of what Ravenbomb had wrote. You made note of that and I noticed that it was your first post. I knew you were Ravenbomb. I called you out on it but you claimed to be a lurker. Riiiiight. It's in the true crime section. I feel like I'm in a Scooby Doo episode.

You like Kurasawa I see. Seven Samurai is excellent. Ever see Dreams? Gotta disagree with you on Bringing Out the Dead. But then again, it's your opinion.

Sam The Egg
01-13-2004, 06:40 PM
Well, I intended to be a lurker, but I really wanted to point that out.
No, I haven't seen Dreams, but I haven't seen Yojimbo or Rashomon either :( . Bringing Out the Dead gets points for making me like Cage, whom I hate.
Think they'll ban me now? Be funny if they did.

Well, seeing as how I was instrumental in the banning of Ravenbomb, I doubt it. But you never know...

Dreams is GREAT. As is Yojimbo and Throne of Blood. I haven't seen Rashomon either. All the Kurasawa films I've seen have been extremely impressive.

Won't mind much if they do, I've got other screen names, and I've got a 3 screen name limit on trolling.

Why don't you just not "troll" then. It's an idea.

Is Wag the Dog really worth checking out?

Sam The Egg

Meh, the not trolling a lot of times doesn't work.
Wag The Dog is really hard to reccomend. I would, but I wouldn't be surprised if you disliked it.

It didn't look like something I'd be interested in.

Why is the Shawshank Redemption not on your list R-Bizzy?

Sam The Egg

not seen it

No Shit??!! Wow, it's a great film man. I'd also recommend Chopper, Swingers, Drugstore Cowboy, Carlito's Way, Gattaca, True Romance, and Shock Corridor. Not sure if you've seen any of those or how you feel about them but they are some of my favorites.

Sam The Egg

True Romance is really good. There's a lot of great films I need to see.

I mentioned Wes Anderson earlier, got an opinion on him?

I noticed Tigerland on your list too. Do you like Platoon? The Boondock Saints and To Live and Die in L.A. are awesome Dafoe flicks too.

Sam The Egg

Wes Anderson is overrated, and no way was Royal Tenenbaums (sp?) deserving of the nominations it got. The Boondock Saints may or may not get on the list, Platoon might, too.

I agree that the Tenenbaums was overrated, but Rushmore and Bottle Rocket were both good.

Hope Boondock makes the cut. It's my favorite film of all time.

I take it you'll be watching Boondock Saints 2, then?

If they ever fucking film it!! I've been waiting for what seems like an eternity.

Sam The Egg

hey, at least it'll get released. I'm still waiting for 11:14, which was due sometime last year.

True, I'm still waiting for the Ricky Six movie too...and it was filmed in 2000. What's 11:14?

Good storyline. I'm a sucker for Henry Thomas. Seems very worthy of checking out. Patrick Swayze may be redeeming himself for years of pathetic action flicks.

He already did. It's called Donnie Darko.

I know, that's partly what I was talking about (I thought you'd get that). That and this 11:14 movie could redeem him. But then again he's doing Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights.

Sam The Egg

no, he's not in that.

Yes, he is. He said he did it b/c the studio was going to let him direct a musical on the condition that he appear in DD 2.

Yeah, he's not the star of the movie or anything. But he's still in it. And he wants to direct musicals now?? What the hell. I guess it's his thing though.
