...which one? Choose and discuss, folks!

If I forgot any good one I apologise. The idea came from a discussion I read in another website regarding The Bourne Ultimatum, plus James Wan's Death Sentence which released yesterday and Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd coming soon.

Mine would be a toss between Once Upon a Time in The West and Oldboy. I cant choose between those two...

I think Kill Bill is a really excellent revenge piece. I know that it's kind of an obvious choice and it's ultra contemporary, but its melange of revenge centered genres and its great ending work. Straw Dogs and the Virgin Spring of course stand as great examples. But I would simply vote for everything Reiko Ike was in ever.

I'll have to check those out :)

I can't say about the best, but I've always been partial to Pumpkinhead.....what better way to say "fuck you" than with an Appalachian demon?

Kill Bill IS one of the best in my opinion. Bad bitches and samurai swords....how can you go wrong?

The source material's even better. Sex and Fury, Lady Snowblood, and Female Yakuza:Inquisition and Torture make Kill Bill look like Romper Room.

Sounds great.....never heard of any of it! I'll have to check that stuff out, for sure.
Speaking of great revenge, Cape Fear is another awesome movie! Were you putting it in for the remake?
Robert de Niro scared the hell out of me in that role, mostly because he was so crazy and at the same time so freaking CLEVER about it....and him sticking his finger in Juliette Lewis's mouth......EEEWWWW GROSS. That movie actually made me cringe in parts.

You got it. After the Horror Stars is over, that ll be my next one.

I am open to suggestions. We can use this thread to name some good movies which you want to see in that tournament.

btw...I already said I was missing some because the thread poll has a maximum of 10 options only. And I went for 10 of the most popular...and I know I should have included RoboCop.

Keep the suggestions coming. As soon as a list is ready...the tournament rolls out!

Yeah, Mad Max is tight. Kill Bill vol. 1 & 2 are great revenge stories.
Sanjuro, in a way, is a revenge story, or along those lines, that works really well.

Hell, when you think about it, common slashers like Halloween or Friday the 13th are based upon somewhat (though not always fair) of a revenge.
