The books are ALWAYS better than the movies...That's the reason King remade The Shining and Carrie...to try to get closer to the books...If "IT" was remade to be closer to the book...People would freak the hell out

hmmmm Wes Craven, John Carpenter, Stephen King and of course George A Romero...
But yeh as meantioned before somewhere stanley kubrick is rather good too...I loved how to did the shining and a clock work orange

My favorite direction in a horror film will always be Evil Dead II. Raimi is pretty damn inventive in that movie.
