Hello, all, I'm new here, be gentle.
I love horror films (and halloween). A group of us (8 people) will be going on a canoe trip the first weekend of September (we will be in the deep wilds of Algonquin prov park in Ontario, Canada).
The night before we will all be staying together at one place, and I think it would be the perfect time to watch a scary pic before we go, but I think it should be "camping" themed.
So, can you please help me by suggesting camping-themed horror films? I', looking for scary movies, not cheesy (ie NO Sleepaway Camp!)
So far I have:
Blair Witch
Friday the 13th
Evil Dead
And then I draw a blank.
Thanks,
M.

OOOh I say, Go to the movie store and rent some Silent Hill games. I watched those before camping (at the same park) and had a hard time hiking without a pretty heavy stick in my hand.
Friday the 13th and Evil Dead are some pretty good movies. Cabin Fever was great but I'm not sure about scary. Blair Witch, well.. I guess if you get into it enough it could do a little damage.

Evil Dead ofcourse, classic and extremely terrifying. Unlike those cheap non scary films like cabin fever.

I can tell you two to avoid at all costs: Zombie Campout and Cannibal Campout.
I would never have thought zombies and cannibals would be so into nature.

Camping, in the middle of the woods, this is the movie of choice and it's the first that popped into my head. We did this last year we drove down south hitting up different camp sites, the best one was in Blue Ridge Mountains, in GA. The only house by this campsite looked just like the one in deliverance.
THe night before we left all that was on tv was movies about killers in the woods. I know it's a little late but I hoped you watched it.
