Who else has seen this?

From last seen movie:

Wow, this was a shock! I've always liked vampire movies, but this one is my new favorite. I don't know what everyone's opinion on this was but I absolutely loved it. I was a bit skeptical but when the final climax occured..... It was totally amazing. Very bloody, and actually kinda scary. Great ending.... Go see it if you haven't.

I thought it was pretty good- I saw it awhile back, when I was a lot younger, and it seemed to creep me out pretty well.

I vividly remember the scene where the vampire walks into the bathroom, and the guys looking through the mirror and can't actualy see him, and then you see a red stream of piss into one of the urinals.

I should revisit.

I don't remember the piss, but I thought the mirrors shattering made the movie...

Or

Eh.

Ferrer's great as usual, but I had problems with the finale and the female cub reporter sub-plot, which were created for the movie. And I thought the Flier's final reveal was a let-down; KNB could, and should, have done a better job on the make-up. As-is, the make-up on the Flier looks like a slightly more expensive dime store Halloween mask.

Not a terrible flick, but definitely not great, either. Ferrer's performance is the best reason to watch it, IMO.

That's how I feel about it. Love the story, the film didn't measure up in my opinion. But I will say the movie was better than expected.

Isn't it a Stephen King?

Yeah, it's a short story that he wrote.

And to the question posted above me, to my recollection, I don't think it was a TV movie.

Wasn't a TV movie, no; it had a very short theatrical run with a very limited distribution, then was sent directly to video.

Bit of trivia: directed by an amateur filmmaker who made a short film called Drag -- it impressed King so much that he offered the guy the chance to write and direct Night Flier.

PLUS...did you know Stephen King has a policy that if you're a student or amateur filmmaker he'll allow you to adapt any of his short stories -- not novels -- to film, all for the price of $1, so long as he keeps the rights? Kooky.
