I was thinking of doing another tournament, but I can't decide between an animation sequence tournament (basically any extended shot or series of shots in an animated movie, for example the mutation bit in AKIRA or the Toon Town entrance from Roger Rabbit), or a fight scene tournament. So, I'm letting HorrorDotCom vote on what it wants to vote on.

It would be awesome to be able to set something up with youtube where all the scenes you wanted to use were on their and you'd be able to link the video clip to watch to decide.

It's too much for my little brain to try and remember PARTS of movies. An impression of a person or an entire movie I can manage.
When we have movie tournaments, sometimes there are movies to vote on that some of us may not have seen, it happens...So, we either vote for the one we HAVE seen, vote according to the description of which one sounds best, vote for the one that has an actor in it that we may be fond of, or choose not to vote until the next round
This could work the same way...If a movie comes up that we HAVE seen, chances are we are going to REMEMBER the kill scenes...and if not...Well, it's no different than if we haven't seen a movie, or don't remember much of it...And if we don't remember it, I'd say it must not have been very good and wouldn't be worth voting for anyway
Of course, this is just in case the 'kill scene' thing is being considered...I suppose it could work for the other things as well...

Since Vamp's Animated tournament didnt go the full distance...I m all for a fight scene tourney.
Although I d prefer to see a Most Cool Kill Scenes tournament. It could actually kick ass!!
(and I betcha Paris Hilton death in House of Wax will be in the finals, if not the winner ;) )

Although the Chucky waterbed/mirror/champagne bottle was pretty cool...OH, Jason/Kevin Bacon/spear/double impalement...Damn, now I'm thinking of TONS of good ones

Cant forget the "freeze N smash" in Jason X. That would have to be up there with the coolest deaths on-screen.

Well, since it's such a popular choice, and I can only think of like three picks for the animated sequence tournament, I'll begin work on a fight scene tournament. I'll try and work something up with YouTube, or dailymotion if I have to upload stuff.

I have 22 fight scenes picked so far. 7 are from Asian movies (one that thinks it's from an Asian movie), four gun battles, one fight from a Ray Harryhausen movie, and one that might cause a stir as to what constitutes a fight scene (but fuck you, it's my tournament)

And I was TOTALLY gonna suggest the They Live fight scene (that was actually why I stepped back into this thread), cuz even though I think fight scenes are pretty lame, that one was famous enough to be redone by South Park :)

I don't want to give away any specific fights that are in the tournament, but I will say that I'm doing my best to make sure that I don't leave out any glaringly obvious fights. Although I am trying to keep it to one fight per movie.

I might do 32 entries instead of the usual 64, since it's harder to pick out the really great fight scenes, and I can likely include all of the main ones without going to 64

Funny story about that; some time after I'd seen it for the first time, my class went on a field trip to the science center. There was one of those individual TV touch screen things with the headphones, and it had a thing on sharks. Guess what one of the little clips they played was. Since you'd probably guess wrong, I'll just tell you: it was the shark vs. zombie clip.
