since i can't afford HBO - i tend to watch the series on dvd later- just started ROME, which I didn't think I'd enjoy and I'm pleasantly surprised. I had heard it was "Deadwood in the ancient world' but I think thats true only in a good sense.

anyone else watching this??

I saw the 1st season, haven't gotten around to the 2nd yet. It was okay, but I found it a little boring in comparison to Deadwood, The Sopranos or Oz.
