been listening to this new project from Damon Albarn (guy from Blur and behind Gorillaz) and love it. It isn't really like Blur or Gorillaz - but has a cool stripped-down feel that mixes some kind of reggae feel with other classic British 80s (NOT duran duran, more echo and the bunnymen, clash etc) feel. Absolutely worth a listen.

Not bad... I've only really heard some live stuff but I really liked it. Not surprising since I've liked Albarn for a while.

i'm still digging it - though I will say that i think his voice is a bit too weak (and i don't really mean that as a criticism) to carry off too much of hte stripped down rock stuff. the advantage of gorillaz is that there are so many musical layerings so that his voice is cushioned and supported by this musical tapestry - in G,B & Q his voice is a little exposed. I still like it - but think this is probably best kept to an occassional foray into brit-pop.
