Can anybody think of any horror films that feature cats? I'm making a list, and I have most of the obvious titles, so I'm wondering if there are any I missed.
So far I have...
Alien
The Black Cat
The Cat Girl
Cat People
Eye of the Cat
Hellboy
The Incredible Shrinking Man
Inferno
Legend of Hell House
Pet Sematary
Shadow of the Cat
Sleepwalkers
Tomb of Ligieia
Torture Garden
The Uncanny
As you can see, I've included some films where the cats have only a cameo (ALIEN). I'm sure there are lots of more horror films where they use cats in a similar manner - jumping out to create a fake scare or standing in the corner and hissing in fear when the monster arrives.

Well, there's Cat's Eye.
I also remember an Italian horror film from the '70s, where a cat was an important part of the plot, but I can't remember the name of the film. So I guess that is absolutely no help....;)

Do they have to be domestic cats?
The Leopard Man (1943) is one of my favorites. Also...you can include both the original and the remake of Cat People...even though the original is 100,000 miles ahead of its copycat.

Can't believe I forgot to list CAT'S EYE.
As for the Italian film, might it be Lucio Fulci's version of THE BLACK CAT?

Wild cats are definitely welcome!
LEOPARD MAN is a good suggestion. I think the panther is the same one seen in the 1942 CAT PEOPLE. He was an awesome sight!
Thanks for the suggestions!

Flesh and Fantasy had a lot of cats.
Ju-On The Grudge had a fair number of cats.

Here's a bit of trivia for you! :D
In the famous scene where Jones the cat in ALIEN hisses (watching something behind Brett before he gets it); this was done by putting a dog behind a glass screen.
And there's me thinking Jonesy was just a bloody good actor cat - hmpf! :(

Night of 1000 cats
Sette Scialli Di Seta Gialla
I saw the DVD of NIGHT OF A 1000 CAT in a rotating stand at some roadside stop along the highway - it looked really bad.
As for the other title, does that translate as SEVEN DEATHS IN A CAT'S EYE? I've heard of it, but I wasn't sure whether it was a "cat in name only" movie, like Argento's CAT O'NINE TAILS.

Night/Curse of the Demon, Labyrinth, Spider Baby, Exorcism of Emily Rose, Tales of Terror (this features 3 stories, one of which is The Black Cat. This is a GREAT movie), Wolfen, The Vampire Lovers, The Cat Creeps.

I must admit, I don't remember cats in LABYRINTH, WOLFEN, or EMILY ROSE. I do recall that Carmilla attacks her victims in the form of a cat in VAMPIRE LOVERS.
THE CAT CREEPS is a cat in name only, right? I've never seen that version or the earlier silent, but I love the Bob Hope version from 1939, called THE CAT AND THE CANARY.

No.
Crimes of the Black Cat - A killer is using poisoned claws of a black cat to murder young attractive women.:)

Don't discount Tales of Terror- it's three Poe stories featuring Price, Lorre & Rathbone, anmd it's version of The Black Cat is the only literal adaptation of the story on film.

Argento's Inferno has a good cat moment. Strays is a cat horror movie, but it sucks.

Not a classic (yet)...but there's Fulci's A Cat in the Brain aka Un Gatto nel cervello...which has the intro of a cat eating a brain...
