I have been dying to do this for a while now. Last month, i bought a brand-spanking new Alienware Aurora m7900. I have 2 190 gig drives in a raid-0 array (they act as one super-fast 380 gig hard drive), it is SLI ready (but with one nvidia geforce 7900 gs (256 mb ram), a 2.2 ghz AMD 64 proc, 2 gigs of ram, bluetooth built in, a built in webcam, 17" widescreen monitor....

The body is so big it includes a full numberpad on the keyboard (did i mention it is a laptop?)

It runs FEAR at blazing speeds with the resolution almost maxed out and all the bells and whistles cranke dup (FSAA, Anistropic filtering, lens flare). Games really are MUCH scarier when they are photrealistic :)

it also runs HL2 with HDR lighting maxed out beautifully :D

Anyone else have a nice kick ass pc?

PS: since I am a contract programmer running my own business, and I need as much muscle as I can to do my job, it is a tax write off :)

Nice, I don't have a good pc, I was going to buy one but that probably won't happen.

Man, with a rig like that you might be able to play new games like Bioshock and Crysis, but i dont know :p ;)

How much did that set you back?
