it doesn't matter. I'd rather see a great movie that's filled with blood than a terrible movie with no blood, and vice versa. Blood neither makes nor breaks a movie.
Also, since when is Evil Dead a movie of today?

I think we need more blood & gore. It's like Tom Savini said "pump the blood man! pump the fucking blood!":D

Let them use as much blood as they need to to tell their story.

Not at the cost of the story, though.
Blood and gore in Toxic Avenger = good
Blood and gore in Identity = bad

gore and blood is better, but they should make it look more real. they shouldnt have it squirt out like in FvJ, they should make it POUR, dude.

The only thing that annoys me is when the director leaves out gore that should be there just to get a PG13 rating or an R rating but still is appealing to those with weak stomachs.

I think it depends on how the violence is presented. Too many movies do a gore overkill, and it detracts from the storyline. Also, there's not enough male nudity for the female horror watchers. I vote for more of THAT!!! :p

i kinda like gore in a movie but not when its just completely senseless violence.

blood is like make-up, CG, costuming...
has to be done correctly. if its too poorly done, itll look like crap.
i seen too many movies where the guy is slicing through people and his blade magically comes out clean... and others where they chop off like the dude's tip of his pinky finger and 2 gallons of blood spurts out... cornyy
