2-Jaws -Always haunts the back of my mind everytime i get near water-
3-Crimson Tide -fills my innerself with strength & Determination-
4-The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. -listen to that part when Toco runs among the tombstones like crazy looking for the one with the name "Stanton" on it, i dont know about you but i think this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music i have ever listened to-

Awesome piece of music. Great choice there!
Some of mine are...
For a Few Dollars More - that lovely whistle & strings-intro with all the gunshots...
Pulp Fiction - Opening credits...
Friday the 13th - cant forget "khi khi khi...ma ma ma..."
A Nightmare on Elm Street - Freddy's tune (not the song, the tune...which was so nicely blended with Jason's tune in Freddy vs Jason)
Will think of some more...

the unforgiven is the purest revenge movie there is. also, titanic (no joke) if it was recast and rewritten without a love story.

'The Omen'. Hands down. Still creeps me out and made me want to get into film composition. Other notables not mentioned so far are 'A Clockwork Orange' and 'The Shining' (both from Walter/Wendy Carlos). Been listening to them a lot lately since I want a similar feel to movie score I'm doing now. Don't forget 'Suspiria' or 'The Exorcist' either. Good stuff.

CURTIS MAYFIELD
Darkest of night
With the moon shinin' bright
There's a set goin' strong
Lotta things goin' on
The man of the hour
Has an air of great power
The dudes have envied him for so long
Oooh, Superfly
You're gonna make your fortune by and by
But if you lose, don't ask no questions why
The only game you know is "Do or Die"
Ah-ha-ha
Hard to understand
What a hell of a man
This cat of the slum
Had a mind, wasn't dumb
But a weakness was shown
'Cause his hustle was wrong
His mind was his own
But the man lived alone
Oooh, Superfly
You're gonna make your fortune by and by
But if you lose, don't ask no questions why
The only game you know is "Do or Die"
Ah-ha-ha
The game he plays he plays for keeps
Hustlin' cards on ghetto streets
Tryin' ta get over
(That's what he tryin' to do, y'all)
Takin' all that he can take
Gamblin' with the odds of fate
Tryin' ta get over
Tryin' ta get over
Tryin' ta get over
Tryin' ta get over
Woo, Superfly
The aim of his role
Was to move a lot of blow
Ask him his dream
What does it mean
He wouldn't know
"Can't be like the rest"
Is the most he'll confess
But the time's running out
And there's no happiness
Oooh, Superfly
You're gonna make your fortune by and by
But if you lose, don't ask no questions why
The only game you know is "Do or Die"
Ah-ha-ha

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, hands down. Best movie theme ever. Without a doubt.
Actually, any Sergio Leone/ Ennio Morricone collaboration is chilling...A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, Once Upon a Time in the West, etc.
Vertigo has an absolutely spellbinding score, as does Psycho.
The Omen (1976)! Probably my second favorite score...the most terrifying piece of film music ever composed. Academy Award winning chiller.
Any piece composed by Goblin is golden. Suspiria would be in my top five, and Profondo Rosso (Deep Red) is superb as well. And, of course, their epic score for Dawn of the Dead (1978) is breathtaking.
King Kong (1933) had a phenominal score, one that matched every scene perfectly.
As for modern pieces, I'm actually listening to the Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl soundtrack and really digging it. It's simple ear candy, epic and powerful.
The Matrix series had a very cool techno-power rock score which seemed to advance the already thrilling story to an entirely new level. The Lord of the Rings trilogy was great, too.
And yeah...Taxi Driver. And The Sting.
Okay. Shutting up.

the lack of love for Lux Aeterna from Requiem for a Dream is disappointing.

The theme to the Superman films composed by the legendary John Williams is fantastic.
Also the Star Wars opening theme is quite good.
Goblin's scores in the late 70s - early 80s horror films was exceptional also.
The Pink Panther films had a very funky soundtrack theme.
Once Upon a Time in the West is arguably Ennio Morricone's best, but Clint Eastwood lovers might differ there.
Dr Zhivago also had a good one.
Chariots of Fire was another really interesting piece.
Overall, I think Jaws has to take the prize for the best. The theme itself is so ominous and terrifying, no wonder people around the world jumped everytime it played.
