As a lawyer I realice that the crimes against women here on Spain has encreased pretty much even taken the consideration that those crimes has some of the hardest punishments on our legal order. Other proble are the increase of crimes comited by police forces (on special unautorished use of violence), when this kind of cases arrives to the courts the sentences were too weaks (on legal parameters). Meanwhile the media and the politics don't stop to said that the real probles were E.T.A (when we dint had suffer a terrorist atack of this guys since more of 8 years) and crimes commited by southamerican/easteuropean criminal groups.....as someone saids who watch the watcherers (quid custodiet ipsos custodes )???. The real question is that law works better as prevent tactic not as a repressive weapon, an of course that politics could not see this cause if the did that, they wwould lost a precious weapon to control the citizens. Anyway, they can rest today confortable until we can think by our selves.
So, what do think that are the biggest problems on our civilization??? What coul by the solutions???
Answer without fear!!!

The biggest problem is the gulf between the haves and the have-nots - and the fact that the lawmakers listen most closely to the wealthiest individuals...because the rich are who get the lawmakers elected.
A close second (at least in the US) is children being raised by nannies and other non-parents who lack the authority to instill a sense of discipline and dignity in children. Too few parents stay at home to raise their kids...and it is an enormous problem

1.) People who think they are always right and will die defending that way of thinking.
2.) People who think it's always "someone else's problem".
3.) People who have to divide themselves into little clicks so that they can feel better about their own limitations.
I agree with everyone else as well: the mucky mucks get paid too much, while the Important people are grossly undervalued.

Hey we try to make our work as better as we can.....and some time we have to work like "evil's lawyers. I hope that the people that came to my firm were absolutly inocents, but as far as this could be always posible, we have to work anyway givin' to some bastards the best defence that we can bring to them. Otherwise AMEN FOR ALL THE REST OF THE POINTS THAT YOU HAVE MENTION.
For the other people, you can't talk about something without starting a verbal fight with other users??? C'mon it's not so difficult.

Lawyers are necessary, even if they sometimes defend the worst criminals who don't deserve a trial. That is the system we have. "The law is reason, free from passion" (Aristotle)

Exactly, when we wanted a sistem that provides justice on equal conditions for everyone, that means that everyone has the right to defence in a court, no matter if you are a inocent one or the biggest killer in the world.
By the other hand there's no money in this world who can pay the tension of carry the defence of someone that you know that it's a criminal....but it's our work, thanks to god not every client is a criminal.

Yes, selfish corporate government. Not giving a damn about the common people; not considering their feelings on any given issue, policy and/or manifesto. Giving power to smokescreen authorities like local councils who are meant to work for the people but just steal thousands of pounds off of us to line their pockets, buy their big cars and houses and shaft us at any given opportunity.
Tax on tax on tax on tax on............
Coming down heavy on the victim and rewarding the perpetrator; giving precedence to a short term immigrant and conveniently forgetting the long term citizen of a given country.
I guess the list goes on..........
No wonder there is an undercurrent of unease and unrest in most of us today!

A lawyer to fix your roof??? If he did a good job and din't cost so much maybe I will call him to fix mine;-) Well I'm pretty susceptible with this kind of things just cause I listen things like that all the time (but in so much rude way), on special when we work like prosecution.....A firm mate had a problem with a client just cause he talk with the lawyer that carried the defence in one case after the trial. Peope don't acept that we can be friends of the oponent.

What do the rich fucks have to bitch about?
hrm..what do rich folks have to bitch about.
Money is not always the answer to everyones problems.
Let me tell you what the rich have to bitch about.
Not knowing who your true friends are.
The fear of having one of your siblings kidnapped for a ransom
Did you know ..that to maintain all of this you need to forever stay one step ahead.
Your bombarded with calls for helping those less fortunate.
well let me tell you this..
a small percentage of what i got was through inheritance..
Taking a portion of that and investing in the property market and learning about the financial side of things.
the rest is from working my fucken ass off and saving like a mutha..
Working 2 jobs and pushing myself to follow through with my career choice.
sometimes surviving on nothing but noodles.(i hate noodles now)
Its a thankless task.
not to mention the outrageous tax differences between the 2 classes.
To this day..I am still getting ripped off .
Am i sorry em able to afford the better things in life..FUCK NO.
Do i feel guilty cos i can go out and buy what ever the hell i want..NOT A CHANCE.
I earned it..i deserve it.
I never went stupid and flashed it around..
my homes are were built in the late 60's...but are solid as hell.
I wear typical jeans and ripped t'shirts..
I dont wear diamonds or pearls and i bus or walk everywhere now.
How ever I am back to square one cos i have handed everything over to the very person all this hard work was targeted for.
so .ya gotta dolla' fifty.. bruva..to buy me a can of coke :o
