First of all, I know this isn't the videogames section...I thought that it's get a larger audience and more of a response here.

I'm picking up mine (wii console) next week, more than likely.
I wanted to know if anyone here has used the feature where you download the older nintendo/sega games?

If so...what's the process? Can I use my existing cable connection? How is the data transferred, and to what? Is there a storage capacity limit?

How well DO the old games play? No issues with 2player compatability?

Any info on this will be appreciated. Thanks.

So you wanted to know who lived in certain states because those states had a higher availability of Wiis?

Spceific accessories then?

I still haven't played a Wii yet, but they look sweet. You'll have to let me know how you like it once you've had it for a while.

I wish I could help you out here, but I can't find a Wii around here no where, sort of pisses me off. Try out their official site, www.nintendo.com. It will probley explain on there, how it works. I know for all the arcade games that I play on the 360 I have to pay for them  , I'm sure that you run an ether net cable to the wii, that is how it connects to the net. From there you would download, I don't know if you know but if you want your computer and wii to access the net at the same time you will need a hub/router. But you probley knew that.

Do you really need a Wii to play all of the old games?...

While I'm usually the first one to advocate the coolness that is emulation, it's still a resort, and there's still issues.
I'll be playing these games, as intended, at full speed and resolution, full 2player compatability without a huge amount of setup stuff, save capability, on my nice largescreen tv.
I am totally down with the emulation scene, but it seems like these old games are at a reasonable price to have that original console "feel".

But yeah, if anyone can help me out with how it works on wii, my eyes are open. What's this about a router? How much is one of those?

You need a wireless router as the Wii has wi-fi capability from the start. From there it's a matter of shopping through the channels. I've used the weather, news, and web browser on the Wii and all seem to be ok but as of yet I haven't bought an older game... there's just nothing I want that I don't already have.

they sell these prepay cards they that call something like wiipoints or something but the conversion is like $1.00=100points i think but it seems like they should have just given it a dolar value
when i first saw the cards i thought you could use points in online games to "buy" and dounload the games but i guess it is just strait pay to play
