Starring Mena Suvari and Ving Rhames...

Different from the other remakes...
following the storyline of the original...
NOT a sequel to Dawn of the Dead remake of 2004...

(as claimed by the movie makers and director Steve Miner)

Take a look...

I think it looks decent. Could be a decent watch while we wait for Romero's Diary of the Dead.

What say guys?

Trailer has already been out since Oct 2006, movie hasnt been released yet.

But it looks like a no-brainer. Less zombies, more action, and no Bub.

Thanks for the trailer and the information, but honestly I'll be buying it no matter what...I just kinda have to, ya know?

Last I heard, the producers were making this a direct-to-video, hitting the shelves somewhere around November.

I haven't seen the original one...but I hope they will do good to the remake as the remake of Dawn of the Dead did. From the trailer it seems quite interesting.

Waiting for it's release.

This thread was done before? Oh well it is good that the trailer link was re-posted again, for newcomers like us need such information. As long as it doesnt go against the site rules, that is.:) I loved that trailer.

There is no doubt that I will see this, but i'm not optimistic. The casting of Ving Rhames is strange given his recent turn in the Dawn remake, and Mena Suvari?American Pie Presents Zombie Camp?
Steve Miner did direct Lake Placid though(which I love) so there is some cause for optimism here.If it is true that this is going to be a dirct to DVD release then that is usually a bad sign too.Oh hell,I wanted this to be good,I will hope for the best but I fear the worst to be honest.

and?

so?

I watched it and liked it, I posted a link, others saw it, appreciated it, end of story, end of discussion, end of thread.

Anyway, Steve Miner might have done some justice to the script. I wasnt too keen when I heard about this the first time around, but after having a peek at the trailer, I must say it looks decent enough.

I agree man. Same actor plays two different characters (uhm...continuity?). Reminds me of seeing the helicopter dude at the end of Thunderdome playing a different character. They ought to just put up some text on the screen reading "Remember this is all fake, you are watching a film".

Apparently the continuity thing wasnt thought of by the makers. Same actor, two totally different roles in a similar franchise-remake. Makes sense.

LOL at "first peek". This is older than Sean Connery.

Looks gay, anyway.
