What are some really good PC FPS games that are:
zombie games (are there any in dawn of the dead style? or survival like it?)
alien/monster games
Games where you defend a fortress for an extended time from something.
Extremely frightening games

F.E.A.R is pretty effin creepy, you will enjoy that game I have it on the 360. They do have a Land of the Dead for xbox, but i'm not sure if it's on the computer or not.
If you do play F.E.A.R, play it with all the lights out, and sound turned up. I love playing these types of games like that, scares the shit out of me.

I forgot about that one. I'm gonna have to nab it...Although the demo I played wasn't all that great. It was a bit on the choppy frame rate side.

Extremely frightening games:
Fatal Frame all of them, still the scariest games at this moment
Silent Hill, the first one for Ps and the 2 (the first it's more frightening but the second game had better graphycs and a better plot)

I seen this on the shelf at the store the other day and it looks amazing but my computer is to crappy to play Pc games.
I also heard on another site they have a PC game coming out called Island of the Dead.It didn't give to many details about it, but it looked pretty sweet.

the thing is a pretty nerve racking game. i wouldn't say it's scary but it has some awesome gore and it really keeps you on your toes.

Alien Vs. Predator was such a great game, although the graphics are a bit dated now. I still play the Jaguar version from time to time. The Alien's ability to lay eggs and sneak through the ducts, the Predators cool weapons and special abilities like thermal vision, the feeling of terror you get as you play as the Marine (until you get the flamethrower which helps a little bit). Great stuff. Also check out System Shock 1 & 2.
