Living in LA I'm sure I probably run into more celebrities on the street than most, but we've all seen 'em.
Just a few moments ago I saw Samuel L. Jackson at the Whole Foods. He was wearing a bucket hat, a polo and shorts (probably off to play a round of golf)
How about you guys? Who have you run into and how did they look?

well mine would be stating the obvious..
all of the LOTR cast and crew.
Frodo's a dick..he and others took pleasure in climbing one the art
displays in our capital ..then calling it a piece of junk.
Tom Cruise when he was here filming parts of the last sumarai..
he was awesome..actually he seemed like one of the locals.
( a very short man)
I never saw Michael J Fox when he was doing the frighteners
but other family members did.

Quite a few in the theater I used to work at. Marilyn Manson showed up with Rose McGowan. He's very tall, and she didn't look near as pretty as I thought she was.
Sir-Mix-Alot was completely playing the part. Fur coat, women under each arm, peeling off rolls.
I never see anybody in little Rhody.
although we do have some dude working at the local Burger King who looks like Elvis.......hmmmmm.

I dunno if these count as celebrities...
Ah... and I've met 3 of the guys from Hemlock (they tour with Slipknot & stuff). It helps to live less than a block away from where they live... Awesome band. I just don't know their names.
And I made out with one of the members of Bydeathsdesign (who are supposed to have a video or two on MTV. I dunno, I don't watch TV)... or some band like that. I can't remember, I don't really listen to them. I do know his name though... :p

I ve met Bruce Willis on the sets of Armageddon, and he was very nice and polite and posed for a couple shots with me, then I had a chance to meet Michelle Pfeiffer who graciously gave me an autograph.(had no camera then or I d ve asked her for a pic too)
We had gone to the beach and Matt Damon was there shooting for some movie. Me and a couple friends went over and he was good enough to say Hi and snap a few pics with our group.

I've met a few celebrities. They're no different than anyone else. I don't know why people worship them so much anyway... I could care less about having my picture taken with some idiot just because he's on TV.
sheesh..
you really are the life of ones party aint ya sunshine.?

When I was in LA, I saw Adam Sandler at Barney's Beanery, Macy Gray at Amoeba Records and Jon Cryer at The Troubador. We didn't talk to Sandler or Gray but we were partying with Jon Cryer a bit. It was his birthday so a friend I was with bought him a drink and then we all rocked out to OK GO, who knew it was his birthday and played a cover of Pretty in Pink for him. That was pretty cool.
I saw Kevin Sorbo, Johnny Bench & Lee Trevino at a celebrity pro-am golf tournament I was catering in Myrtle Beach, SC.
James Earl Jones, Bizarre (from D12), and the washed up band, Firehouse have all stayed at the hotel I currently work at so I've met all of them.
I go to a lot of concerts and have met several bands over the years. Art Alexakis from Everclear (twice), Todd Lewis from The Toadies (several times), all of the Burden Brothers, all of the Foo Fighters, Fat Mike & Eric Melvin from NOFX, OK GO after the aforementioned show at the Troubador.
I also used to know Landon from one of the MTV Real World seasons (I went to college with him. His dorm room was 2 doors down from mine.) & Jordis Unga from Rockstar: INXS because she's from my 'hood & we used to party it up all the time.
My dad grew up across the alley from & went to high school with Hall of Fame baseball player, Paul Molitor (Brewers, Blue Jays, Twins) so I've met him several different times.
And last but not least, when I was younger, my dad took me to a local celebrity pro-am golf tourney and I got to meet & get autographs from... Mean Gene Okerlund, Jesse Ventura, Kirby Puckett, Kent Hrbek, Frank Viola and most of the World Champion 1987 Twins team. Oh, and I met Tony Oliva at a charity softball event my company put on two years ago.
I guess that about sums it up for me.

i saw gene hackman in manhatton about 15 years ago. i was too scared to approach him and was taken aback by his lack of height. i went to school with gary lightbody from snow patrol. incidentally, his nickname in school was needledick. i also met bob probert and played with theo fleury. as well, about ten years ago i met the liverpool players robbie fowler, patrick berger and sami hyppia (the brits'll know who they are).

When I was younger I met Hawk & Animal (Wrestlers), When I was in New York I seen P Diddy. Now that I work at a casino and we have several different famous guest stay at our hotel, i've of course met Little Richard, The crew of the Sopranos, (Tony Sirico, Michael Imperioli, Vincent Pastore) Vincent Pastore "Big Pussy"was probley one of the coolest, because I was taking a smoke break and he came up beside me and started talking, his body guard came up to him and he told him to fuck off, and he continued talking, really nice guy. Also Bill Cosby, Ben Roethlisberger, when he was in town shooting a country music video with Poverty 'Red'Neck Hillbillies :D. Someone all of you have heard of Evil Kenival (sp) he stayed at out hotel, and while he was here for one week he recieved to DUI's. That's all that comes to mind right now, I know theres not many more.

The only celebrity I ever saw was Tom Wellington (Superman on Smallville). This was a few years back when I was in Vegas at the Hard Rock Cafe Hotel. I was sitting at a roulette table playing and struck up a conversation with the Pit Boss who pointed him out to me.
He was sitting a few tables over from me and is even hotter in person. He was playing blackjack and was surrounded by several blondes. Apparently he goes to Hard Rock all the time.

I've met exclusively boring/niche celebrities: Shakespeare scholar Stephen Greenblatt, Paul Zaloom (formerly Beakman on the children's show Beakman's world), children's author Brian Jaccques, one of the Kingston Trio (I can't remember the dude's name), and I had a friend who almost got into a fight with Macaulay Culkin. My mother met Billy Dee Williams at a bar in Arizona while he was filming Jedi. I've only met people who run into weird ass celebrities, and when I was a kid, the guy who created Clifford the Big Red Dog.

That's because he wants you to buy them off his website for $15. I really want to get a signed shirt that saved 'I Helped Save Screech's House' but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I should do it before they're gone though...

I saw Dustin Diamond at a comedy show here and he was one of the worst, "unfunniest" comedians I've ever seen live (or not live for that matter). I would have rather spent that night raking my lawn.

I don't see any celebrities around here.
One time a friend of my dad's was at a bar, talking to the guy next to him. The guy said"hi. I'm Greg Allman." My dad's friend said, "I got a friend that looks more like Greg Allman than you do." Then the guy got up & went on stage.

We have so many celebrities here, all of different fields. There are actors and actresses and sportsmen and musicians. I had the chance to meet the legendary Zubin Mehta when he came to perform at Bangalore. Very humble and soft-spoken, he is a connoiseur of excellence.

You make good tips?
I do the Night Audit at a small 64 room hotel. It's pretty sweet since we're in the suburbs & most of our travelers are just business people on the weeknights (which is when Im there) and they're usually all in bed by midnight. I am always the only person there when I work (no boss breathing down my neck is great!) & I sit at the front desk almost every night from about 12:30 or 1am until about 5am with nothing to do but come on the internet and amuse myself. The job's a piece of cake, but I might be getting promoted to assistant manager in the next few months and then I'd actually have to do work for my shifts as they'd be during the daytime.
My brother is Slot Machine shift manager at Harrah's Casino in Tahoe.

I've worked in a crap load of hotels unfortunately in the midwest the 2 biggest actors I saw and talked to were Clancy Brown and Mickey Rooney.... Clancy Brown was a really cool guy... You could tell he smoked a couple of packs of cigarettes a day... Mickey Rooney was just old....
Oh Yeah and I met Dick Cheneys wife when the Secret Service shut a fourth of my hotel down for her.... We had to wear special pins to prove that they had done full back ground checks on the couple of managers who got to meet her.... Let me tell you Secret Service Is no joke....

I used to wait tables and tend bar in Washington DC and most of the sports stars in the area were terrible tippers.
Bruce Smith, John Riggins, Juwon Howard, all terrible tippers
But Joe Gibbs always tipped great.
