Your list is the most similar to what mine would be of anyone that's posted in this thread. I didn't like Crash & I didn't hate House of 1000 Corpses (Although parts of it were blatant TCM ripoffs), but other than that I wouldn't arge a single film on your list. *shrug*
Anyways, here's mine I guess....
-Best- (These are not in any order and they aren't neccesarily my 10 favorite movies of all time, but they'd all probably be in my top 20 for sure)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (orig) (Probably my favorite movie ever.)
Dawn of the Dead (orig) (If #1 isn't TCM, it's Dawn.)
Night of the Living Dead (orig) (Spawned the horror sub-genre that I love the most.)
Halloween (This film gave horror it's best villain, period. John Carpenter made a masterpiece with barely any budget (He only could afford to have Donald Pleasence work 3 days on the film.)
The Matrix (This might be the best action movie ever. It's FX are commonplace now, but I can still remember vividly how absolutely blown away I was when I first saw it in theatres. Seen it dozens of times and it still holds up as a great action film.)
Reservoir Dogs, True Romance & Pulp Fiction (QT at his absolute best.)
The Big Lebowski (Best comedy ever. I named my dog Dude.)
Sin City (The 2nd best comic series ever adapted perfectly on to film. It's a comic geek's dream come true.)
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (I like drugs. I liked Hunter S. Thompson as a write rand I like Johnny Depp as an actor. Need I say more?)
Scarface (Seeing this when I was 15 rattled my world. I had never seen a movie so bad ass in my life.)
-Worst- (I have seen some really low budget stinkers that are like someone filmed them in an afternoon with 2 friends & a handycam that are WAY worse than anything I'm about to list, but I'm gonna try to keep my list to recognizable titles that I hated for 1 reason or another.)
House of the Dead (I wanted to like it but the spliced in video game clips & horrible film making totally killed it for me. HATED it.)
Mumford (Jason Lee was in it & I like him so I went & saw it. Whoops. Booooooooring.)
Phantasm (I have a hunch that the only reason anyone really likes this movie is because of the cool little orb ball weapon. Unfortunately, that isn't enough to do anything for me when a film {& franchise} suffer from the affliction of having THE LAMEST hero in horror history {Yeah, I'm talkin' 'bout Reggie.} and some crusty old man that doesn't do much but walk slow, call people "Boy" and send a ball flying around to kill people off in the exact same method every single time. Don't even get me started on the stupid trans-dimensional plotlines...)
Eraserhead (This movie, and it's director David Lynch, seem to be a love it or hate it kind of thing... Watching this movie helped me figure out that I am on the 'Hate it' side of that. No real substantial plot at all, just weird characters doing weird stuff for no apparent reason. This movie literally put me to sleep 3 times before I ended up watching the whole thing & when I did finally manage to stay awake for the whole thing I felt like I had just wasted those hours of my life. To a lesser degree, I felt this same way after watching the only other Lynch film I'ev seen 'Lost Highway'.)
The Hulk (Ang Lee went from making a film as stunningly beautiful as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon to making a film as ugly as this CGI laden monstrosity destroying a comic book I once loved in the span of 1 film! I don't think I can ever forgive him for that.)
The Ring, The Ring 2, The Grudge, The Grudge 2, Dark Water etc... (All of these American remakes of Asian ghost storys SUCK and guess what...)
Ringu, Ringu 2, Ju-on, Ju-on 2 etc... (Yeah, the originals sucked too! The problem is that storys are stupid to begin with.)
Day of the Dead 2: Contagium (This is SO shitty that I shouldn't even bother mentioning it, but the thing I still can not understand is how they got the rights to title this film that. Romero had nothing to do with it, the budget was fractional compared to the original and it either was a Sci Fi original or went straight to dvd. WTF? How is that in any way shape or form related to Day of the Dead? )
I guess that's all I got off the top of my head.

.
thats what i thought it was a first too (and i enjoyed it even if it didnt mean anything) but this movie means a whole lot. there is a plot per se, but its not your typical one, and everything done in this film by the characters in meant to symbolize something. its deep shit actually.:)

Yeah, I hear that said, but I've yet to hear anyone give me any substantial meaning to it other than some fucked up guy doing weird shit. To me, it's a movie that is weird for the sake of being weird and that's a waste of my time. Any meaning or symbolism behind it is abstract (not obvious) to say the least and to discover it, one would actually need to go research things. To me, this is the work of a pretentious artsy fart that was making an obvious effort to be obscure & weird.

Eraserhead was meant to be ambiguous and left open for interpretation. I guess nobody can SAY it's deep because it's only deep if that rings true for them. Either way, if you can find meaning or not, I'm surprised you can't see it as a moving picture book full of beautiful and surreal moving photos. I think it's a wee-bit over-rated but I do enjoy it.

I haven't seen the original but I HATE the remake with a passion therefore I have never wanted to see the original. I actually caught it on tv one night but fell asleep and didnt feel like watching subtitles.
I have never seen Pan's Labrynth if you were directing that second question to me. I put THE Labrynth w/David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly lol. :p

First post here. I actually rented The Descent based upon some people saying it was a good flick. I tell ya, it was one of the worst movies I have seen.
