the best way to get cheap old cheesey horrors is to get them from amazon, play etc. they usually have a budget or sale section where you will pay less than £5 per dvd. i personally like to buy all my dvds. magpie syndrome! recently i bought the fearless vampire killers, black christmas, vampires, prince of darkness and in the mouth of madness. i don't think any were more than £6.

I got a DVD burner so I just burn all my movies. I buy blank DVD cases and than print out labels for the case and the CD. The DVD actually looks real, its pretty tight. Ive burned over 50 movies and it instead of paying $300-500 for 50 movies it cost me all but $20-30.

fair enough. seems pretty sensible. i just like having huge amounts of dvds to impress people with. thats right, i feel my collection is an extension of my penis

Lol, I feel you. I'm trying to get a nice collection myself. I have 200 right now, 150 real, 50 fake. The thing is the 50 that are not real look real so they have no idea. My goal is 1000, I have a ways to go.

i'll stop buying them when they stop making them. my short term goal is all the HDC top 100 and the alternate top 100 plus anything that anybody on here will vouch for

If you're just looking to watch them, not have them on DVD, check out this website of public domain titles:

Some good stuff in there, worth a look.

So am I , soon as I outsource one video store I move on, but there is never that many in one area. And you always have to live in the local area, generally a 5 km radius to become a member.

Dude, Netflix. It is dirt cheap, easy, and they have nearly every film ever made including foreign horror all the way back to the beginning of last century (or whenever film and cameras were invented)...
