I must say, I love Suspiria. I really do.
It's beautiful and haunting, and relentlessly terrifying.
Of course, I love Argento in general.

I agree with you, I really enjoyed the movie. The soundtrack was also a huge part of it.

i find argento a bit hit and miss. but suspiria is a masterpiece. unfortunately for me it was the first argento i saw and have subsequently compared all his work to suspiria. incidentally, i just bought an original signed pressbook from the premiere of suspiria from ebay

My favorite horror soundtrack; either that, or the similar Profondo Rosso soundtrack. Goblin is incredible.

I think I've been pretty constructive with you... not to mention I've been joking up until now. Sure, I think putting Scream above Halloween is bullshit, but I was busting your balls when I said you had no credibilty. Some folks are just thin-skinned, I guess.
But, thanks.

Looks like a fairly major misinterpretation here. I did not see anyone call you stupid. I did see someone question your credibility on the basis of your preferences. See the difference?
Imagine you have a friend who insists that Dude, Where's My Car? is the greatest American film ever. Wouldn't that cause you to think twice about trusting this person's future recommendations? This is what the original poster seemed to mean in reference to your credibility.
When you credibility was questioned, you immediately turned to personal insults (i.e., bitch). Have you read the post you referenced about not launching personal attacks?

Back on topic, Suspiria is one of my personal favorites. Has a soundtrack that fits the movie beautifully and it plays with your mind. Without the soundtrack, I don't think the movie would have been as good.

You're right. If I were to go on a huge forum like Bloody-Disgusting, Halloween would still win. Why? Because it's the better, more liked movie. You'd have to be an idiot to think any different.
So....more people here like"Halloween".What If more people like"Titanic 1997" better than"Halloween?"Does that mean I should like"Titanic" better?
Did I negate this? That argument is complete bullshit. Like any film you want to like, but if you like Scream more than Halloween, just know that you are in the minority.

What does money have to do with anything? Jesus, are you up to par here? Has anyone even mentioned money? Now that you mention it though, when including inflation, Halloween made more than Scream.

fair point mcilroga. scream made double what the omen made. in terms of quality product the omen is light years ahead. scream is just a fun movie. also, i think inflation would show a more than times three increase in revenue. so omen for example would gross $162m, which would bring up to third.which means the exorcist would be by far the highest grossing.

while i was at the dario argento museum in rome there was a vignette of a woman's body in a cell with a cat. her half eaten body was chained to the wall. i think the implication was that the ravenous cat had done the damage. what movie is this from?
