Farewell, My Lovely & The Big Sleep. While I agree with AS that Morgan Freeman is an incredible actor, he's no Robert Mitchum. In an amazing coincidence, Robert Mitchum is, and therefore has swayed my vote.

He made a great Philip Marlowe, second only to Bogart. The 40s version of both movies are still considered better though.

The Poseidon Adventure & Beyond the Poseidon AdventureI JUST watched both of these the other night, along with the remake with Baldwin, AND the newest remake...I didn't care for the 'international intrigue' stuff in 'Beyond The Poseidon Adventure' or in the Baldwin remake, but the remakes were still really good movies...I loved the way the newest remake got back to the original story without the terrorist stuff...
