have you found out a good fact in a film. post them here if you have. i'll start off:
in evil dead 2 the scene in the cellar shows a freddy glove. the reason is evil dead is on a tv in nightmare on elm street.
in king kong the lady character slides down a mud hill but when she turns around she's clean.

in BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON there is a really quick shot in which you can clearly see three little girls in white dresses jumping rope... A great little nod to NoES.

There are tons of references in Scream.
For example, they recreate evil dead two (where bruce looks around and the camera sweeps the entire room back to his face) in Scream 2

An old one - Michael Myers' mask is actually a mask of William Shatner painted white.
But I'm sure everyone already knows this one.

Shaun of the Dead is absolutely jam packed with nods to the giants of the genre, some of my favourites are....
The "Bub's Place" pizza house(Day of the Dead).
When Ed shouts "We're coming to get you Barbara"(NOTLD).
The original piece of music from Dawn of the Dead that is played at the beginning.
The Italian Restaurant called Fulci's(Lucio Fulci).

The reason that Evil Dead is on the TV in Nightmare on Elm Street is that there was a poster of The Hills Have Eyes (half torn in the cellar) in Evil Dead. Which of course prompted the Freddy glove later in Evil Dead 2.

The Dead Next Door has four characters (one unseen but mentioned I believe) with the last names Romero, Raimi, Savini, and Carpenter.

Halloween bears references to where I live. Bowling Green, Butler County, etc. etc.
All street names and other places are from around here...
But that's because Carpenter went to college here.
interesting! i went to the same school as c.s. lewis (author of the lion the witch and the wardrobe) and the old fashioned lamp post he references in the book which is also in the movie narnia remains in the grounds of the school today. incidentally, the school was campbell college. hope that wasn't too boring a stat!

In The Evil Dead, a torn in half Hills Have Eyes poster is on the wall in the basement, symbolizing that no matter how scary THHE is, its only half as scary as the evil dead.:)
