I just can't seem to find anything very good like this...
I really liked Lenzi's Ghosthouse...
Poltergeist was good, too...But there just hasn't been anything like that in such a long time
I need some ideas in this department
Something with atmosphere...A Creepy feel...like in the Silent Hill Games...You know that feeling, right?
Ju-on did it pretty well...
I want something that makes me feel something...I know you guys know what I'm talking about...Something that makes you feel a little uncomfortable...Well, I can't really explain it...
Is there ANYTHING out there?...Anything with/about ghosts?...Anything supernatural that is actually GOOD?
BTW...Just to let you know...I wasn't impressed with Suspiria at all...

Join the club. Good use of colors, but that was about it.
I can't help ya on this one though because The Frighteners was pretty much the only ghost movie I liked and that's like half slasher anyways. Skeleton Key was cooler than any ghost movie I can think of (except Frighteners) because I could possibly see it happening. (The fact that the main character is a total skeptic like me probably made this feel more real to me.)
Cannibal Holocaust was the only one I've seen that made me uncomfortable. I don't enjoy watching real animals getting killed and I'm sure you know which part I'm refering to when I say I had to cross my legs.

It's funny that you mentioned Frightners because it's one of the few ghost movies that I absolutely LOVE...But, it's FAR from creepy...It's more like a comedy to me...
The 'uncomfortable' feeling I'm looking for isn't like 'disgust' or anything like that...It's more of a "oooh, that's freaky", heart-rate altering, slightly tense, scalp tingling from your hair trying to stand up, shift your sitting position, kinda 'uncomfortable'...Know what I mean?
I want spoooooooky
@Dave...I did like The Eye...But, it's not really like what I'm looking for right now

Have you seen Skeleton Key? It didn't neccesarily spook me, but it might give you what you're looking for. It was darker than I was expecting from a PG-13. (Not much gore though.)

You guys are definitely on the right track because I REALLY liked Devil's Backbone and Session 9
I haven't seen:
Lemora: A Child's Tale
Dead Ringers
The Lady in White...Actually, that one seems familiar...I MAY have seen that one, but don't remember it...
Thanks, I'm going to look into those
Things that are there, but you can't see them...An unknown threat...Supernatural 'creepy'...Like Final Destination stuff, Silent Hill, Stay Alive, Madhouse, Dead End...THOSE were awesome

Wow, I don't know of many people that liked BOTH Stay Alive & Skeleton Key but both were pleasent surprises for me. I thought they were both really good and I NEVER expect PG-13 horror to be very good.

The only ghosty, creepy, spooky movie that I know of and really love is: House on Haunted Hill (1958). It's an old movie, but has Vincent Price and really good plot twists.

A TAIL OF TWO SISTERS .I honestly didn't like that one very much...It had a few good visuals...But, a lot of it was confusing to me...
Wow, I don't know of many people that liked BOTH Stay Alive & Skeleton Key but both were pleasent surprises for me. Yeah, I like a lot of things that most people don't...I think that's part of the reason that it's really difficult for people to give me recommendations...Different tastes...But, I HAVE found some really good ones that were mentioned it this forum at times...That's why I keep asking :)

I have that one...It's fairly decent
Attic Expeditions, In The Mouth Of Madness, and Soul Survivors also had that kinda 'weird' vibe that I really like

I looked up the description for IN The Woods...And that actually sounds very interesting...I'll be buying that one :)
DRAGONHEAD not ghosts or horror but very very creepy movie .
This?:
Movie Description
A lighthearted school outing takes a turn for the worst as all but three students are killed in a train tunnel's collapse. One of the three quickly goes mad as the result of claustrophobia, forcing the others to leave him behind. With no other option, the remaining pair (Ako and Teru) attempt to break free from the wreckage, only to realize that the world above the tunnel is in just as bad shape. Reduced to rubble, all of civilization appears to have been destroyed by some kind of Armageddon-like disaster. Alone, the two must find their way back to Tokyo through a maze of desperation fueled by the fear-inducing power of the ominously named Dragonhead.
That actually sounds pretty good, too
Thanks guys

I should have checked IMDB...Duh...I was just checking eBay so I could just click and get them if they looked promising...This one sounds good...I'll have to find it to buy
Prince of Darkness?Dustin keeps mentioning that one...I thought it was a vampire flick for some reason, but he assures me that it isn't...I suppose I should get that one, too :)

Prince of Darkness, EXTREMELY disturbing movie.
The Haunting, The Shining, The Changeling, The Blinging (just kidding)
Of course Lady In White, particularly because of the Dracula mask scenes ;)

I love the House On Haunted Hill the original. That would have scared the crap out of me back then. You know, there seems to be a lot of ghost movies coming out now. Isn't The Messengers or whatever a ghost movie? There are more coming out now then ever it seems. I did like the remake of "Amityville Horror". That's about it though, I haven't seen any really great ghost movies in awhile. I'm trying to write one now, give me a couple years!:D

Oh, fuck! Here's one. This is my favorite ghost movie made recently.

Oh yeah, you're RIGHT...Now I remember looking for that one before, for that very reason(but, for some reason, I was thinking the one he was in was WITHIN The Woods...Which I do own, but can't remember what it's about...We watch WAY too many movies...)...Hmm, I wonder if I actually have it already and haven't watched it yet...I'll have to ask Dustin (He often remembers these things better than I do)...I even have Menno's Mind because Bruce Campbell is in it...And the video game Broken Helix...I just love him"Dark Remains" comes closest. ;)That sounds familiar...I'm going to check that out, too...I may already have itThe Haunting(1963)is the creepiest most atmospheric movie i have ever seen, pretty well known though so i guess you have seen it?Yeah...It's not bad :)

This thread deserves to be seen more. Even the title is weird!
If you get the "Monsters Crash the Pajama Party" DVD, you can watch Bert Gordon's short feature "Tormented," a ghost vendetta movie. Good cheesy and somewhat creepy and effective for its low budget.

My kind of horror is the real ghost stories..
you know spectre' or the unseen eerie kind of script.

not many things freak me out but
slugs and eels..'shivers'
We have this place here in NZ called rainbow springs
where the oldest living eel lives.(Rotovegas)
As a child i remember looking in the water and i saw nothing but darkness..
just pure black..then in slow motion, like in a movie..these 2 white eyes
looked up at me..and i mean in slow motion.
Then the blackness disappeared, seemed to go on for a good 3 minutes..
the full length of the eel as he was swimming away.
Farrrrrrrrrk!!

No thanks, I will probably buy that one... I was thinking about, I don't know if I mentioned it before but Web of the Spider, and its original version...I have to look this up. Castle of Blood starring Barbara Steele. Web of the Spider is the remake, and that's the one I saw first. I liked the remake better even though people tell me the original is better. Whatever, they're basically the same movie, except one is in color and a little more graphically nasty.
