Alright, I'm posting this again because last time, not that many people actually viewed it because of where it was at, and I couldn't find anything related to the movies I was provided titles too, so here we go.
Was at drive in theaters sometime between 1963-1964.
Color film.
There was an artist who sculpted this bust of a woman and he kept having thoughts/voice talking to him and at some point there was blood on the stairs and some people went upstairs and found where he stabbed the bust in the eye with a knife and blood was coming out of the plaster/white bust.
He had actually stabbed his girlfriend/wife in the eye but did not remember doing it.
The voice kept telling him to do something, and he became frustrated with the voice and began shooting a gun in his room. Somehow the gunshots ignited the curtains or something else and set the room on fire, and as the room burned, you could see the form of a person going up in flames and it turned out to be the voice that spoke to him.
Help please...

I'm not sure, but it sounds damned cool. Is the 1963-64 time mark a for-sure?

Help please...OMG...I KNOW what this is...He was an artist...At some point his cat had gotten stuck in the wall and he was trying to cut it out, but he stabbed the cat, so when he got the cat out, he plastered it...Later he accidentally killed his girlfriend, and he figured if it worked with the cat, it would work with her, that gave him the idea to make sculptures out of people
He got caught when he didn't have enough plaster to finish one of them, at his exhibit a woman was touching the hand of his sculpture and she felt the exposed, dead fingers on the bottom of the girl's hand...She started screaming...
What WAS that called?

@ Bloodrayne and Crabapple
Thank you for finding this. Now I just need to get my hands on it.
The only things puzzling me about this movie is the description on Wikipedia doesn't say anything about a voice in his head talking to him. And, it's in B&W. Everything else sounds spot on though. Only one way to find out. :D
Thanks again!

HA! It turns out I already have a copy of it. It's in the "Chilling Classics" 50 Movie Pack. That's interesting. Now I know what I'm watching this afternoon.

I was scrolling down, hoping someone hadn't beat me to it, but oh well...
anyway, Bucket of Blood is great and succeeds at the dubious genre of horror-comedy. highly recommended, by me at least, however much that counts.

Uh-Oh!
I'm sorry to say, but ya'll have given me the wrong movie. :(
So this one is still up in the air. The ending has the knife in the head of a bust of a woman and blood dripping down where the knife went in. In another room, the girl the made the bust after has been stabbed in the same place. He starts shooting up his apartment and catches something on fire and you see the figure of someone burning and screaming which turned out to be the voice in his head.
And it was filmed in color.

Are you 100% positive that it was in colour?
It sounds ALOT like an old episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents that I saw when I was a kid. I cant recall the title, but Im sure it wouldnt be too hard to track down. Only problem is that it's black and white...

I would say "Color Me Blood Red" but it's about a painter, not a sculptor...
As a side note, if folks are interested in "whacko artist" movies, I would steer you towards Playgirl Killer (1968) starring William Kerwin as the boing-boing-boing koo-koo maniac who kills his models because they won't "sit still." By golly, it's even got Neil Sedaka in it, and he sings a song at a party in one of the scenes!!!! You have to see this movie, it is nutty.

It's about a sculptor, but I'll check into it nonetheless. And Playgirl Killer is far too recent.
She said she remembered the carpet being green and the blood was of course, red. But it was color.
@Return
If you do find that episode, let me know.
Also, as I said, it was shown at the drive in between '63 and '64.

This was mentioned strictly as a side note--not the movie you're looking for, but interesting if you like whacko artist movies.
Driller Killer is something I saw only recently--and I liked it a lot! It's VERY funny and bizarre, filled with lots of strange characters.

But how would she have seen that back in 1963 in a drive in theater when she was 6 years old?

Are you sure she didn't see the remake, remembered seeing it in the drive-in and then got some details confused? The remake does have "ghost voices" in it.
I've done it before with movies. I used to get scenes from Cannibal Ferox & Cannibal Holocaust mixed up. I just realized I was wrong about some of them when I finally rewatched Cannibal Holocaust a couple of months ago. I've searched imdb & wikipedia hi & lo, and it's the only real scenario I've been able to come up with.

It could be, but the original also had the voices. The main thing she remembers is the knife in the eye/head of the bust and blood dripping from it though.

It has Anthony Michael Hall in it...Kinda hard to imagine the 16 Candles geek as a killer...It was kinda weird that he starred in the Dead Zone series, too...No one believed me when I tried to tell them it was the same guy...Damn, how difficult IS it, he has the same name:rolleyes: ...Dumbasses...
I just received the original Bucket Of Blood today...Now, I'm buying the remake...Thanks, Flayed...I didn't even know about it :)
