The best thing about Netflix is access to all the foreign horror (and other genres). Search for Paul Naschy for instance. I recommend Horror Rises from the Tomb. Also Let Sleeping Corpses Lie (not a Naschy picture).

How did you manage to get around netflix's "too many" a month thing. They usually slow down on sending you movies.

They never do that to me...
Don't know how I'd find time to watch that many movies in a month though!

I probably could. I've been watching 4-5 a day recently. :D

Finally hitting the stack of films I haven't touched yet.

Maybe I should get netflix if I can get that many a month. How much is it and how often can I get the movies? Like roughly, how many is max a month?

I use the 3 at a time plan, seems to work great and gives me a pretty good rotation.

Oh! I agree! I actually had to turn my beloved toxie and Lemmy off! That sucked big time! Is the gringerbread man good? Is it close to the Gingerdead man? That was pretty funny. You should rent Santa Slay, the first two minutes are worth at least 1.99!

I'm on the 5 at a time plan and I rock through 'em pretty fast. I've never had more than a 3 day turnaround on a disc. Usually just 2 days.

I can hit 15 movies a month easily. I can have 1 kids flick, 1 period costume movie for the wife and 3 horror/action or indies of my choosing in the house at most times.

God bless the Netflix

There's no comparison between Blockbuster and Netflix. Netflix carries almost everything. You would have to live near a Blockbuster the size of a Walmart for it to be as good (unless Blockbuster does mail order now?)....

I can't emphasize it enough... Netflix foreign stock is fantastic (I swear I don't work for Netflix, I just love them)...

Blockbuster does have online mailing. You can also return the movies in store that you get in the mail.

But hey, I'm a rewards member at blockbuster. So I get a free rental with every new release I rent, then, if I have a free rental, I get the free one with the new release and the new release free. Beat that. :p

I don't trust Blockbuster, but I have had nothing but good experiences with Netflix. the "Let Sleeping Corpse Lie" recommendation is a good one, and one that I think I voted for in the "underappreciated" thread (it didn't make it). and any Paul Naschy is always good.

Blockbuster may be cheaper but their selection doesn't compare to Netflix. I've been doing Netflix for a long time and if it's on DVD, Netflix pretty much has it.

They also have good descriptions and member reviews of movies so you can kinda see what the movie is like before you waste your time on it.

I can't tell you how many hard to find movies I've gotten through Netflix. I don't even have cable because I get everthing I watch through Netflix.

Very true, but I got Netflix to avoid the crappy Blockbuster store with the annoying employees and poor selection.

I am having fun hunting through the non-new realise films at the film rental shop. Basically they have 3 catagories: new realise, not a new realise and childrens lol. You can find some really good films if you are willing to look and they have good offers on rental. Now and again they sell ex-rentals also.

At the minute I have got to love Tesco and Asda lol not a good collection but good prices.
