i cant remember this movie that i watched a while ago, on tv i think

the head dude was mexican, or latino or something. kind of looked like richard ramirez actually,

but anyway, he ended up being a werewolf, i cant remember if he was one already or if he was turned at some point in the movie.

im prettty sure they used typical silver to kill him

but the one thing i DO remember that is a big part, is the heroine, cant remmeber if its a guy or girl, goes to some church. i think the head nun there knows the vampire dude,
well the heroine asks 'how can i kill it'
and the nun pulls out this gold or silver cross, very elaborate, with jesus on it and everything

the heroine is like huh? then the nun holds one end and pulls on the other and turns out the cross is this bad ass knife/pick thing

does this sound familiar to anyone?

this movie bugged me at one night around 2am i woke up WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT MOVIE AGAIN and i cant find it!

I bet it's a Paul Naschy film. He was sort of a Spanish Boris Karloff, who played Dracula and Frankenstein and all the other biggies in these wack Spanish horror films.

Ten of them are the stories of Waldemar Daninsky, a werewolf.

-Did the werewolf snarl in sort of a silly way when he was on screen?
-Did he look like John Belushi?

If so it was probably Naschy.

okily dokily

so im PRETTY SURE it was Lou Diamond Phillips

although i looked up what WOLF LAKE was and that seems to be a tv series or something and this was definitely a movie

full eclipses isnt it. its more old fashioned, i mean they have guns and stuff but not like cops or whatever. country side comes to mind as well...

i know the wolf snarled a bunch but i cant remmeber it was silly. and im not quite sure who john belushi is although the name is familiar.

i looked on that webpage with all the werewolf movies but none of them seemed right.

ughhh, this is really bothering me now but im getting closer i can feel it..........

I'm pretty sure mictlan is right. The dagger/crucifix was a reoccurring motif in a few of the Naschy werewolf movies. Usually the heroine was told that the only way the werewolf would stay dead is if he was stabbed by someone who loved him--a bit of lore stolen from Universal's House of Frankenstein.

i KNOW its Lou diamond Phillips

i can find info on wolf lake the series, but NOTHING on the movie

as for naschy, didnt look like him at all. but the dagger crucifix is definitely what would discern it from other films, especially since i know that happened while i could possibly be wrong about the head dude being lou diamond phillips.

i thought i would be able to find this out easier but i was wrongggg

A couple of Qwick questions.

1 Was this a foreign film?

2 Any idea about how old this movie is?

I have pulled out my book on werewolf movies it has a pretty impressive list.

I found one that is from Spain it was made in (1980). It is about a werewolf that is brought back to life and goes after a nest of female vampires. The movie is called "the Craving" it may also be known as "Night of the Werewolf" or "Return of the Wolfman".

Let me know if these names spark a memory I will continue searching.

thanks mud

hopefully that thing will help out

1. definitely not a foreign film, not dubbed either.

2. i know it was a bit older. im guessing between 80-97. more like 94. it had that feeling to it, the clothes and such, kind of like Saved by the Bell. hah

i dont recall any other werewolves than the guy (lou). a lthough im sure there were, he was the important one. an im pretty sure it was lou diamond phillips, i remember him being spanish type and remember tinking this dude is kinda ugly. well i looked up lou and im pretty sure its him.

i stress the thing about the nun and the crucifix/dagger because that was a very important part of the movie. doesnt seem to be a recurring theme either, like i dont think ive seen too many of those in either. plus, thats the one part of the movie i am 100% certain about.

there is a part of me that thinks there is something important about the church too. like, lou goes to the church a lot, prays or something for help, and turns out the whole time it is he. i think he spends a lot of time talking to the nuns though.

but yes, the crucifix dagger. the nun has it in its own special case, like its for safe keeping. its gold i think, very elaborate, then pulls on it WHAM bad ass dagger or pick.

a sewer comes to mind as well, but i think thats my mind putting together this movie and IT

Freddy Krueger.

fluffho

yeh ive looked up lou diamond plenty of times

gotten HUGE lists of all his movies, too many to click on.

but i went through the list and clicked on the ones that sounded like they would be scary, horror, werewolf related etc

again, only came up with WOLFLAKE the sitcom. i mean wolf lake may not even be the movie im thinking of.

the cross thing is the one part that would distinguish it from other werewolf movies, and someone DID post a movie that has the thing about the cr ucifiz/spear

but that one didnt have LOu in it. and im prety damn sure its him cuz i remmeber thinking 'wow this dudes kinda good lookin but in an ugly way'

so if anyone has th link to wolflake the MOVIE, post it!! PLEASE

Here's a link to the Wolf Lake pilot film:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0295694/

There's not much info though, everyone just talks about the show. However, if Lou Diamond was ever in another werewolf movie I think I would have known about it.

Sorry fluffho, the only films I came across that have had a werewolf fighting a vampire are forein. With the exception of Underworld.
