What kind of slack-jawed hick watches that shit anyway? Do we really need braindead steriod freaks grabbing all over each other on national tv? Professional wrestling is long past it's prime, it's not even entertaining anymore. Remember Doink the Clown? That guy was funny.

doink the clown was almost as gay as the repo man....wwe is old...and now you have things like tna....they are called total nonstop action but.....my cousin saw a comercial for it and he asked if TNA meant total nonstop ass grabbing:D

I assume you're referring to Evil Doink, as Good Doink was lame shit.
Any-dang-who, the "hicks watching steroid-rendered monstrosities all oiled up and slamming each other" stereotype isn't as applicable as it used to be. I'm sure it is at least somewhat applicable to people who exclusively watch WWE and think Cena's so great because he "overcomes the odds" or whatever, but there's different and better stuff out there. Although, these days, it's generally either ROH or Puro, the other stuff is pretty bad.

Please tell your cousin that I told him to stop breathing.

I do. My jaw isn't slacked and I'm not a hick. Odd how stereotypes don't apply to everybody... like guys with long hair. ;)

I watch Smackdown, Raw, and ECW because my 6 year old son loves it.He is not a hillbilly but a kid who digs something.Honestly, I'd prefer to watch wrestling with him than Pokemon. This same 6 year old loves punk rock and is in the top of his class. His favorite movie characters-Michael Myers, Jason, Freddy, and the Marine(yes I mean Cenas movie).

Not really, I just wanted to see who would stick up for it. I really couldn't care either way. I know all sorts of people who watch that shit, some of them are indeed slack jawed but most of them aren't.
Seriously though, the stuff they pass off as entertainment in the wrestling industry these days is pretty sad, and so are all the people that 'just can't miss it' every week..........like my mom. She's not completely slack jawed but she's close.

I used to be like that, haven't been for awhile though. There's still good stuff just not in WWE anymore. Undertaker winning the royal rumble as me a bit more interested then I've been of late, but I agree that it's mostly shit now.

Alex isn't really into wrestling very much, but for some reason he has some strange fascination with the Undertaker...He really likes him...I don't ever hear him mention anyone else connected with wrestling
Personally...I saw some 'wrestling' on tv a few years ago...I happened to be walking through the livingroom when my ex was here watching it with Alex...I DEFINITELY got that 'homoerotic' vibe...The men were pulling each other's pants down...And pulling their own pants down trying to force each other to 'kiss their ass'...paddling each other...whipping each other on their bare asses...ugh...It certainly didn't look like wrestling, or any other kind of sport
Here's a little insight for ya...Dustin's parents LOVE wrestling...They're the type of people who CAN'T miss it...His mother told her job that she cannot work on Monday nights, because she HAS to watch wrestling...If you combined Dustin's parents' IQs, you'd ALMOST hit double digits...I suppose they have to have at least enough to be able to blink and speak (although not enough to speak about anything halfway coherent)...Here's an example:
Jordan (Dustin's son) spent most of his life growing up with the influence of Dustin's parents...So, when Jordan moved HERE we had a bit of reprogramming to do...Dustin's mother was with us one time when Jordan used a word that we just don't use...I told him that he shouldn't say that, he didn't know why...Dustin's mother said, "No, baby...don't say THAT...You should say 'coloreds'" ...To which I had to correct them BOTH...His mother asked, "So what do you call them?"...I said, "Umm...how about...PEOPLE?"
Dustin's mother is also the genius who one morning was sitting on our front porch and came running into our house and said, "Some asshole in a truck just threw some shit right in your front yard!"...Turned out...It was the newspaper deliverer...
I think you can see where he gets his perceptions (and distaste)...And, why he lives in a different state than they do...AND why we went to their house for 3 days at Christmas to keep them from coming down HERE for a MONTH...

Point taken.
The kid probably likes the undertaker alot because he's all 'creatures of the night'..'deadman'..'face your mortality'..ect.
As for all the ''homoerotic'' stuff, that's how wwe is now, it's justa joke..bad joke at that. No more good storylines, barely see a decent match..just not good anymore.

Yeah, for real...You long, black-haired, metal playing, lyrics growling, black eyeliner and black fingernail polish wearing, pierced, tattooed, black-clad freak...:p
Oh...I shouldn't say that...He cooks for me...lol
like my mom. She's not completely slack jawed Umm...I strongly disagree

Yeah...It's probably a Scorpio thing...lol
It took me almost a whole YEAR to find him THE hat that he wanted, to go with the black leather trenchcoat (that took months to find), which apparently was 'like the Undertaker's'...

Yeah, stuff like what Rayne described, and the complete burial of the best (and one of the few who are any good) guy on any of WWE's rosters, is why I've sworn off any WWE television. It's sad that you can turn on USA and watch 108 minutes of boring, tame T&A and unneccessary shots of man-ass, while great stuff like This (http://www.dailymotion.com/visited/search/Dragon%2BGate/video/xyvl2_dofixervsbloodgen) is going on (the same weekend, same city as Wrestlemania) and the average wrestling fan doesn't notice.

As for it being homo-erotic, I've heard the same said for amateur wrestling, UFC, and even boxing. I guess if that's how you want to look at it, personally I think it can only be "homo-erotic" if that's what you WANT it to be. I'll be enjoying Wrestlemania, a few good matches already booked and I'm sure I'll see a couple great moments. Especially with Super Crazy getting a push.

I totally agree, I really doubt my 6 year old watches it for homo-erotic purposes.I know I don't, I enjoy the time we spend together watching it.I'm not saying WWE is great entertainment or not silly but neither of us is slacked jawed.
