View Full Version : Tired of Terrorism?

I was reading another board, and got inspired to ask this question here. Is anyone else as sick and tired of this whole spiel as I am? Anyone else willing to say fuck it, let me take my bottled water on the plane and not check my shoes, I'll risk being bombed?

Do you honestly think that dropping all of this nonsense with talks of terror on the news every day is going to spawn a huge influx of hijackings & bombings? I agree 9/11 was a terrible tragedy, but enough is enough. We will remember what happened that day even if I'm allowed to take my disposable razor on the plane with me, I promise. I'm sick of living in the decade where every single news cast or paper has something to do with terror. I'm ready to let go and move on.

How do you guys feel about it?

It's not just terrorists though, our country alone has enough psychos to warrant those types of searches. Not too long ago they found that guy carrying the liquid bomb and had to ban water bottles, shampoo bottles, and other liquid containers from flights. It may be in the news WAY too much but you can't just let terrorism go. It's always been and will always be a factor. Without terrorism we'd still have the searches and we still have to take your razor away on a plane. Why? Because you have teenagers shooting their classmates, kids calling in bomb threats to their schools, and guys randomly setting other people on fire. People suck and they're going to kill other people. Preventing them from doing it on a plane that's thousands of feet in the air is a good thing.

I'm tired of hearing about people dying...
I'm tired of blanket statements being made about entire countries/religions on the basis of peoples assumptions that everyone is a willing tool of their govt, and that extremism coming into religion is actually representative of the religion as a whole...this happens on both "sides"
I'm tired of knowing that nothing short of a miracle will stop this bullshit in my lifetime, and more than likely the lifetime of my little brother, my child/ren, perhaps even theirs.
I'm tired of the hypocrisy shown by the human race.
Tired of wondering when and how I'll experience this "terrorism" phenomena first hand...be it through first person contact, or the injury or death of someone I know or love...

Yeah, the whole deal is pretty tiresome, but those that can make a change, generally don't...Why? Because THEY haven't first.
Round and round we go...it's a joke.

this thread's title reads like a 1950s add.

"Tired of terrorism? Do you just wish it would go away?

Then give to your local nuclear arms race! and 'wipe out' terrorism!"

I'm as tired of terrorism as I am of the war on said terrorism.
The war has gone on way too long because of people trying to 'kill each other nicely', and be 'careful'...It's a war, people die in a war...MORE people have died because of trying to kill less people

em tired of the finger pointing..
we have a family of muslims in our neighbourhood..
quiet..peaceful..law abiding citizens
who are forever taunted and terrorised for something they had no part in.
I have a fiancee 15,000 miles away who through my own instructions told
to stay put because of the prejudices he may face coming to the western world.
hence..em going to him...the fuckiest thing is..
these ppl don't even know who the hell bin laden is
This is what em sick of.

My thoughts exactly. All the hype and propaganda now is overbearing. There are measures that should be taken. We've turned a homeland safety operation into a multibillion dollar ad campaign. IMHO, we've lost the war in Iraq. It was lost a long time ago when we took Baghdad and didn't have the troops there to hold it immediately. It's time to move on.

I'm tired of hearing about it without any mention of all the U.S.-sponsored terrorism. The hypocrisy makes me sick after awhile.
