It's in pre-production, there's a chance for 07' but it's probably not going to happen. As long as production starts in 07 I'll be happy. It will be on my list from now until the day it's released and I go to see it, only to leave the theater feeling cheated and used.

i just looking at upcoming horror movies.com

i saw a trailer for 1408 (if anyone want to know)

Plot
Renowned horror novelist Mike Enslin only believes what he can see with his own two eyes. After a string of bestsellers discrediting paranormal events in the most infamous haunted houses and graveyards around the world, he scoffs at the concept of an afterlife. Enslin's phantom-free run of long and lonely nights is about to change forever when he checks into suite 1408 of the notorious Dolphin Hotel for his latest project, "Ten Nights in Haunted Hotel Rooms." Defying the warnings of the hotel manager, the author is the first person in years to stay in the reputedly haunted room. Another bestseller may be iminent, but like all Stephen King heroes, Enslin must go from skeptic to true believer – and ultimately survive the night.

Hatchet
Behind the Mask

Both are really fun films Hatchet delivers much better on the gore, but Behind the Mask has a riveting lead.

I hung out with Scott Glosserman yesterday (director of Behind the Mask) and he gave me a petri dish with a scaled-down, but anatomically correct human heart in it. I tried snapping a few photos, but all I got was glare. The top of the dish reads:

"Meet Leslie Vernon... He'll Steal your Heart"

And then the logo for Behind the Mask and a sticker on the side that reads "in theaters Valentine's Day 2007"

He had them made as promotional givaways for Sundance, but he's pissed becuase Anchor Bay just pushed the release back a month. Sucks for him but I love the little heart.

What I look forward to the most for this year, as has been the case for 10 years now, is the Fantasia Festival. Three weeks of weird/underground/horror movies!!!

Fantasia is a hell of a time each year! I usually get to see around 20 films a year, but I have to discard some because I just don't have enough time to see everything I might be interested in. I think there were like 50 movies I was interested in last year!

Last year's site can still be found at the bottom of the first page, if some of you want to take a look...

Well, if you have the time and money, I would recommend it for sure. Just make sure you are quick on your ticket buying though, because some movies sell out pretty fast!

Re-makes, sequels and re-makes of sequels. How absolutely depressing.
