You're forgetting about those of us with skills. If it were to ever happen I think after a while we would weed out those who just want to kill and then could focus on work. I think most of us know how to get and use generators (some of us can even fix them) right? So there would be electricity for a while which would give everybody time to gather solar panels and other equipment that would allow a group to live comfortably. It would be a lot of work in the beginning but I think fortification and a comfortable lifestyle would be possible.

Oh, and Rod could write and act out plays, we can watch him dance and laugh at him in his girly tights.

Thats what i was getting at with the internet. I think the few coal plants and nuclear plants that dont crap out wiull give electricity for a while, but its not like anyone will be mining new coal, and the power plants will probably all melt down, since there wouldnt be anyone to regulate them. Imagine once reactors start runningout of water and overheat. we wouldnt need bombs to create a radioactive wastelend.

reminds me of Jurrasic Park: The Lost World (the book, not the movie). Ian Malcom says at one point that people no longer count as being sentient beings. The average person does not have a real sense of self, there is no soul searching or self discovery, just plowing through daily routines, just like an ant.

However, in my scenario, they actively try to kill and eat you. Thats at least a little different. :)

You're looking at very small areas of the world, human beings have endured through plagues and terrible wars... it wouldn't be millions but there would be survivors.

For me, I see you guys saying "Whoa cool," because you really don't understand the part about having to pop a cap in the head of your wife, husband, best friend, your child because they were bitten by your best friend, husband, wife, girlfriend." What if you get bitten, and you've gotta go up to your compadres and tell them, because the reason you got bitten is that you ran out of ammo. This would suck royaly. And besides how are we going to gang up? We don't all live in North America. It wouldn't be a party without Zwoti and Shanks, and what what about Cheeba, and Disease?
