I was wondering if anyone was familiar with the popular novena to St. Jude? It has supposedly never been known to fail...
I'm not really much of a religious person, I've pretty much developed my own set of beliefs, but I am curious about this. If anyone is interested, I would be glad to type it up and post it here.

I'm a firm believer that whatever you believe deep down is true. It's different for every individual and this is why religion works for some and not others. What it all comes down to is that individual consciousness is the ultimate creator of every aspect of a persons life. Therefore, if you believe wholeheartedly that the novena will work, then it probably will.
I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this particular one?

You can't just sit on your ass, do nothing, and wait for some outside influence to change your life....If you do nothing, nothing will be done

Exactly what I think, but I do feel that having some level of spirituality is beneficial. Do you like to read?

I never got much into astrology, maybe I will start checking that out. If you ever get a chance, read "The Nature of Personal Reality" by Jane Roberts and "The Self Aware Universe" by Goswami. Really amazing stuff.

Athiests believe in no god and agnostics don't know what higher power to believe in.

The term agnostic can really cover a very wide range. I guess that's kind of what I am. I went to catholic school my whole life, but I don't follow the religion. I've read and read and read and read and consequently made up my own sort of religion.

Read "The 13th Planet" by Zechariah Sitchin. It gives a thorough explanation for the writing of the Bible and it is really amazing.

Just read it. You won't regret it. It's not a "prove religion false" book, it's just astounding with the amount of research that he has done to write it. It explains everything. You will be amazed.

It's gotten a bit off topic, but I can recommend some other really good ones if anyone is interested.

Reminds me of Ed And His Dead Mother...
Ed's uncle (RE: finding Ed's mother's re-animated corpse in the kitchen) : Did you publish another one of those prayers to Saint Jude in the paper?
