"Heroes Episode 12 "Godsend" - January 22nd."
That's what I read online...but since I don't live in the states I have no idea if it actually aired/is airing on the intended date or not.., I only ask because I've yet to find a torrent for it.
Still early going I suppose..Aust. time is a lil' bit ahead..so it could just be that I'm not all that patient.
Any news on this?

well if my dl finishes soon ill be watching it later on after i pick my sister up....it was on....
it did appear - i watched it. . . not bad, not great, but definitely not bad. . . sort of filling in some plot lines and moving on towards the big bang.
that said, the last line made it ALL worthwhile - great way to end an episode!

I don't really think it is...it's not over the top as XM is, I think what "superpowers" there are, are well done and not used to excess throughout the show, there's no "team" element, and according to a WIZARD interview with Tim Kring, there isn't going to be...the dialogue is much better, the "bad guys" are much more fleshed out and not just black and white, and the majority of the storylines focus on the personal lives, rather than the "super-powered" bits...not to mention there's WAY more mysetry and unknowns...I like the show too, but I can't see it as an x-men rip-off...I personally think what I've seen out of this series far out-does the XM films thus far. If anything...it KIND OF resembles a FAR better "mutant x", but really, in terms of storylines, twists, and character development, it's far beyond both.
i just watched episode 15..
Same...it was an "ok" episode...good to see more Sylar though, and what's going to start happening if he travels with Suresh.
Man, this show just seems like a pile of shit!
Watched it yet? Each to their own I guess, I just find it difficult to imagine anyone specifically disliking it...not liking it, sure, but pile of shit? Far from...

I've been wanting to see this show for a long time, but alas I have no cable and I Netflix everything.
Does anyone know when this may be coming to DVD? I thought they were done with the first season already, though I may be wrong.

No, it's not done yet...
They had some "break" thing, but that's done with now.
It's supposedly going to go for (I think) 23 episodes...or maybe 25, whichever is one more than the usual.

How much of a chance did you give it, prior to making that assessment?
I'm not saying you SHOULD like it, I'm just wondering...it DID start a little slow, and is definately more character development and "life" focussed than all action, like say, x-men which it is almost constantly compared to...IMO, it's the time spent in the slower "unfolding" development of the storyline that makes this show appear slightly deeper than the majority of the more comic-based "superhero" stuff...it's not all fights and superpowers...
I guess to each their own, if you expect something out've a certain show based on preconceptions, and said expectations aren't met, then of course, you'll be dissapointed.

Well, you seem to be one of a relative few...

I've found that the main villain of the series, Skyler, seems to jump from someone you're almost laughing at because he's so bumbling, and then he just pulls this stuff that makes him the scariest guy ever.
