Having a little movie night this weekend, before exam-cramming time comes along. I'm renting 6 films from the list below... and need some help narrowing it down to such a limited amount.

Lost Highway
The Matador
Being John Malkovich
Any Given Sunday
Pleasantville
The Big Lebowski
Ed Wood
The Thing
Misery
The Virgin Suicides

I'd do:

The Matador
The Big Leibowski
The Virgin Suicides
Misery
Ed Wood
Lost Highway

in that order

--- I LOVE Being John Malkovich, but feel it would lose impact when lumped into a marathon...should be viewed seperately:)

The Matador, Ed Wood and The Thing all ran in at 5 votes.
Lost Highway and The Big Lebowski come in at 4.
Misery and The Virgin Suicides are at 3.
Pleasantville has 1. It's gone.
Any Given Sunday has 0. It's outta here.
And Being John Malkovich is exempted for being too good for a marathon. :p

I give a vote to Lost Highway, The Big Lebowski, The Virgin Suicides, Misery, The Matador and Ed Wood for being those that I'll select. I'll definately pick up Being John Malkovich another time out-of-marathon.

Would everyone agree with this order?

The Matador
The Big Leibowski
The Virgin Suicides
Misery
Ed Wood
Lost Highway

have you never seen The Thing ?

if not - it should be at the top of your list.

I haven't. I wasn't too interested in it either, all the acclaim is sure to let me down... plus I'm not at all into the sci-fi kind of horror involving aliens.

Well I'll have to see what's in-stock when I go rent a few films tomorrow night. I'll probably pick it up in the end.

lol I would put a vote in for The Thing also.
It was one I chose for a film night and it was a hit (even with non horror fans).

*copies list of films for other film night ideas* hehe.

Any Given Sunday is a fuckng amazing flick. Make sure you watch it sometime, I would say now since there's only 3 games left before the superbowl and it will fucking charge you to watch the big game. Of course you could leave it for midway through the off season when you are jonesing for football, it usually makes its way into my player a couple times during the offseason every year. :D
