What have you seen that you would call disturbing? Do you want gore or arresting images or alternate realities?
Have you seen:
Guinea Pig?
Irreversible?
Begotten?
I Stand Alone?
Cannibal Ferox?
Maniac?
A Clockwork Orange?
Jacob's Ladder?
Shanghai Surprise?

Yeah, Last House on the Left is frightfully unsettling. That film was horror for babies. I never understood all the raves that film got. If any film deserves a remake, its that crock of shit.
I have the films Feed and Family Portraits: Trilogy of America being delivered from Netflix tomorrow. Feed and the short film Cutting Moments(from trilogy) are supposed to be pretty disturbing.
Roderick, whats your opinion on Irreversible? That's in my next shipment from Netflix.

Possession. probably not a movie a lot of people have seen .. the very ending is disturbing.. (for anyone who has seen it - it's the scene with the little boy and the bathtub)
really bothered me for a long time.

Well movies with home invasions really get to me I don't know why though ?clockwork orange, Last House on the Left, Devil's Rejects, ichi the killer, Henry portait of a serial killer.
Edit: Was "The Nutcracker" any good ? Today is the first time I have seen anything about it and just by the cover I was thinking about picking it up.

are there any that dont involve rape. I thought lat house on the left sucked. As well as clock work orange, never understood why people like that movie. Creepers is a good one though.

How do you define horror?
I'd say a very real feeling "short and sweet" gritty film focusing on the subject of loss of innocence and guilt is much more horrifying than, say, a man in a hockey mask chasing teenagers...

Most disturbing for me would be:
Irreversable - Man I love Monica B but that rape scene was just brutal. A naked Monica and all I felt was revulsion.
August Underground Mordum - Some real sick shit that someone somewhere is enjoying doing.
Some Guinea Pig films like the first and second ones.
Cannibal Holocaust - Some brutal stuff in there, like killing animals for no reason.
Blood sucking freaks - When I first watched it with a friend we were like 14 yrs old. Looking back it's not so bad but at 14......
And anything with Lindsey Lohan in it.
