Has anyone red Bram Stokers "Dracula". I just got the ebook, and I know its supose to be a very good read, but before I put my time and effect into reading the book through my computer screen (terrible idea, but meh) I thought I would get people's opinion on the book.

It wont change the fact that I'm going to read it, I just wanted to see what other people thought.

I just finished reading it not too long ago. After doing so, I realized that a true adaption into film has never been done. And, since I saw the movies before reading the books, it is definate proof that the book is always better than the movie.

PS and I love reading the Books second if there is a movie coming out based around them, I find I get a whole lot more from the book if I've watched the movie, because I getting little surprises from the things they leave out in the movies.

It's one of the best books that I read in my life.

Copolla did a good version some years ago. It was very faithful to the original, IMO.

I'm ashamed to say that I've never seen a Dracular movie, well not one of the ol school ones. I've seen Vamp movies with Dracular in them , "Van Helsing", "Blade Trinity" even BTVS eps. But I haven't seen the original Dracula movies. So I'm looking forward to reading the book.

Well, once you read the book (which I loved) you will see just how awful Van Helsing is. Then, if you read (or if you have read) Frankenstein and The Picture of Dorian Grey you will truly come to see to what extent Van Helsing is a crime against humanity.

Are you kidding me??!! Girl, you must read this, too!! I can't believe you haven't read these 2 classic novels. Have you read any Poe? If not, you must add that to your list.

I don't mean to tell you what to do, but I'm in shock that you haven't read Dracula OR Frankenstein!!!
