1 for paxton, 3 for tetsuo. THIS one is going a little more like i expected. PAxton is a great villan, but tetsuo has a couple of decades of lyal followers under his belt.

For those unfamiliar with the characters, Tetsuo is a kid that ends up getting imbued with almost limitless telekinetic powers, and loses his mind. References to his ultimate fate can be found in a particularly hilarious southpark episode

Paxton Fettel is the telepathic son of a 15 year old dead telekinetic that remotely commands an army of cloned super-soldiers on a mission to release his mother from her post-mortem prison. He is a scary bastard who eats people to steal there memories.

On the off chance any of you are unfamiliar with the works of Eric Cartman, he has:

Convinced the senate to allow abortions and stem cell research, so he could use the stem cells to replicate a Shakey's Pizza

Called a kids (Butters) parents repeatedly as that kid to convince his parents he was being bad (swearing at them, calling them names), and when they came home and were clearly BEATING him, he sat outside with a lawn chari eating snacks and said "I i were older, i would totally be jerking off right now"

Killed a kid's parents, ground them up, had them made into chili, and fed them to the kid's parents. When he reveled this and he started crying, Cartman licked his face saying "Your tears, they taste so sweet!"

In order to get to go to a birthday party, he convinced butters that an asteroid had destroyed civilization and hid himina bomb shelter, and then a broken old fridge, for over a week.

Thank god. i was afraid he would not get any votes for some reason.

I can recall exactly the moment i thought he was great:

When Andy Kubert took over the X-Men series from Jim Lee, there was an issue where Scott Summers is walking in the woods with the man who raised him. One panel shows him yanking off his glasses and blasting the old guy, and the next thing you know, there is sinister grinning at him, explaining that Cyclops' power USED to be able to harm him but not any more. All this while there is a gigantic hole ripped in his midsection.

That attrocious cartoon made him intop a kind of a wuss. And a dork.

Shredder.
Krang was just a stupid creation for the cartoon, as were rocksteady and beebop and that technoball thing...the "real" Shredder was much more vicious in the comics, and answered to no-one. The version of him in the first movie was a little more like the original shredder, not quite as badass, but a little more alike. But yeah, overall...villains don't come much more hardcore.

A: Shredder - Martial arts expert, killer moves. Take no shit, creatures over twice his physical mass under his command,...More than once kicked the shit out of the "main" characters of the show, movies and comics, and on more than one occasion, collectively. KickASS armour. Doesn't always win in the end, but comes back each time with a different and diabolical plan. He's had his enemies friends beaten (and in comics) murdered and raped, he pulls no punches.

B: Dr Claw - Cool voice, but other than that a hand that slaps a cat around a lot, and not much else. Clearly has a lot of resources available to him, but has he ever "beaten" damn near the biggest dolt in existence? No.
Frequently has his "plans" usurped by little girls and dogs. Regardless of all the tech and resources at his command, fails time and again...and continues to hire the same two morons to work on his behalf, even though all they ever do is fuck up. Then cries like a bitch every damn time he has his ass somehow handed to him or his plans smashed "Next time...I'll get yooooou!"

Does this not put things in perspective?

It's all yours, Vod. I sort of dropped the ball on that last one. I never thought Shredder was that cool, but for vileness, yes. Dr. Claw was pretty vile too. He was always trying to kill Penny who was what? Eleven? However, I see the points people are making. Plus, they aren't really in the same class as villains go.

...Hey...maybe we could team up, Vod. As I mentioned before, villains are my thing. However, it's up to you. There are a lot of really creative avenues that we could take with this...

Summerian and Babylonian major Air Spirit/Elemental, could cause and prevent plagues and famines. Protector of women in childbirth. Very agricultural dude. He looks creepy, as does Bathomet:
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l89/Bandraoi999/Baphomet.png

However...
He's actually related to the Hellenic God, Mendes, and in the Medieveal Occult traditions (Levi's in particular... and later Crowley) he's related to the Hermetic spin on the Tree of Life/Qabala. He's actually a Spirit of "Mercy" and "Justice."

Okay, so The Exorcist was really just a movie. Maybe Puzuzu didn't mind being a villain.

:) Thanks, Rod.

That being said, Pazuzu, in his first film debut takes the award 5 to 2.

Let move to two completely different villains in a completely different category. Vod and I talked, and we're going with some mythological characters here. Also, I'm going to bring in some women into this action.

From ancient Hellas, this once lovely lady was caught smooching up with Aphrodite's love interest in Aphrodite's temple. Not cool. So, Aphrodite cursed this woman to a life of hideousness, with snakes for hair. In fact, this woman was so hideous, one look would turn a man into stone.

I give you the Gorgon, Medusa:

http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l89/Bandraoi999/Medusa.jpg

In Hebraic mythos this lady was the first wife of Adam. However, she didn't like being subordinate to a man. So she high tailed it out of Eden. According to myth, she became a terrible succubus. She would drift into the dreams of men and steal their lives over a period of several nights. She was said to suck the life out of newborn children. She is also said to be the Hebraic version of a vampire.

Fighting for the right destroy men is Lilith:

http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l89/Bandraoi999/lilithstele.jpg

These two ladies have three things in common: They've both been cursed by a deity, and NeoPagan women seem to adore them. That is possibly due to the third trait; their favored victims are men.

Anyway, I was wondering if you guys had any themes you'd like to see? I'm going to do a James Bond Villain theme. I know that at some point, I'm going to throw some very vile bad-asses at you from various types of media, and I mean, these are going to be the people... who never really die they just leave the place and come back meaner. You know. But that's later.

There are a lot of ways this could go. I'd like some feedback, so that I may better entertain you.

However, while you guys are thinking, I just gonna throw some funny stuff out. They are villains, but... (My Thanks to Rod Usher for the inspiration and the suggestions!)

Richard Nixon (He's with Elvis, how bad could it have been?) Well, he did pull the US out of Vietnam "peacefully" and "honorably" and proceded to sack Cambodia, who was nuetral. Then he did bring about the establishment of the EPA and other really useful groups...that never got or really get any support. Then there was Watergate. Basically, he ran his mouth to the wrong people. He admitted (or is said to have admitted- some people still don't by it all) to stealing money from the democratic party, threatening the Democrats to ensure his political success. He was even trying to have people, a colomist for one, assasinated. Nixon was a fairly smart dude. By the way, a lot of the dickheads working for Nixon, are now working for...

President Georgie W. Where to start...? Where to end?? Runs with right wing nut jobs so advocated that faith based charities receive more aide from the Government, gives children going to religious (Christian) schools more money. Post 9/11 we find that they knew something very bad was going to happen, but didn't move to stop it. Used that event for going to War in Iraq (getting Hussein was good), is an oil tycoon so doesn't give a shit if the oil prices rise all over the world, hell, probably takes weekends to Saudia Arabia to celebrate another trillion dollars made for every person who actually has to drive. Screwed the whole Iraq war up, we're stuck, their stuck, and Iran is after nu-q-lear weapons. The list....stretchs on and on...And I hear the Feds a' comin.'

'78 Cylon
vs
Neo-Cylon

...

Haunted
02-06-2007, 02:08 PM
Okay, there's a definitive re-rebeginning. Cylons are actual characters/entities other than shitty US presidents (which no on voted on anyway).

So, we'll begin with Cylons and NeoCylons (from Battlestar Galactica). The only thing I remember about the original version is Lauren Greene and that Noah kid and his little dog. So, I did some research...

Cylons: Now, originally, they were created as robotic workers. You see, they're sort of cyborgs but different. There are different types of these things, but from what I've come to understand, they want to get rid of humans. So, some of them even look human. In the old series, they could kind of look human, but a trained eye could tell the difference.

This is your old version. Sure, they were big metal and kicked butt. There were many that were essentially the ship. They were stationary units that were humanoid, but perfectly maintained the operations of the ship. At one time, you could talk to them, but later...It wouldn't have been a good idea.
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l89/Bandraoi999/oldcylon.jpg

Now the new and improved versions can do much more. They can blend into human society without any notice. They have a larger variety of Cylons (I'll show you two). This new kind almost has an intelligence that isn't programmed.

Centurian (warrior, laborer, guard, etc)
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l89/Bandraoi999/newcylon.jpg

One of the big Cylons (Cylon 6)
http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l89/Bandraoi999/Cylon6.jpg

So, for this villain question, it's not the villain, but the model? Kind of like asking a James Bond fanatic, "When was Ernst Stavro Blofeld at his worst?

So retro!! Old cylons win hands down.

I've got something a little different now. No pictures this time. I'm only going to do two rounds like this, but I'll space them out.

This time, I want you to decide which type of villain you like best. So, I'm going to describe, real concise like, two different types of villains, and you vote for your favorite type.

Archenemy

The archenemy is often the hero's greatest enemy. There tends to be an emotional bond between this type of enemy and the protagonist. So, this type of enemy is personal. It poses the greatest threat to the protagonist. This enemy is typically portrayed as being very dangerous and typically never dies in a series of horror books, novels, games, comics, etc.

V.

The Supervillain

Def. They're similar, however, the supervillain tends to be more sociopathic, sadistic, works alone, (could possibly be in a group). A supervillain wants emmense power, like over the world, but why stop there... why not the universe? However, they're single minded, tending to attempt the same plans over and over the exact same way, regardless of the fact that the plans have failed... every time.

Roderick Usher
