My most horrible experience was when my 9 year old Son was lost in the woods and we couldn't find him. He found his way back in the snow as some of my friends and I where heading out to look for him.

I have others, but this one scared me crazy.

So tell us your most horrific experience.

Being hit and run on my bike...wasn't hurt but a few severe scrapes to the hands & arms, and bruises, but it was a fair knock, went over the hood, off the side, almost got hit by another car. It would've been useless, but on the ground I held up my hand anyways, I remember seeing blood running down around my wrist from the front of my hand, seeing a car skidding towards me thinking "this is it"...but, the thing stopped about two feet from me.

when my son was 1 he spent one night throwing up .. we couldnt keep anything in him .. water , pedeolyte (sp ?), etc..

i took the next morning off work and took him to see the Dr.(i was going to anyway because i caught whatever he had and was sick too - and besides that we were up all night - from dusk til dawn trying to get fluids into him)

the Dr took 2 minutes to look at him and asked me "can you make it to the emergency or would you like an ambulance"

i drove my son faster then the ambulance would have gone ...
he was in severe hydration .. a nurse tried several times to get an iv into him and couldnt. finally someone else did.

i couldnt put him down or sit down or he would get upset and i was trying to keep him calm ... we were in the hospital this way from 10:00am until 7:30 when my wife finally got there. at which point i gave her my son and collapsed under the sink .. untill i was able to go home ..

the next day he was fine - and thats when they told us how serious it was.

scariest thing ever. babies are tough little creatures but they need fluids ..

i watch tons of horror movies ..
i still cant shake the memory of a dog i saw get hit (and the guy coming down the driveway with a rifle to finish it off) that i drove past about 25 years ago.

there is a huge division between my fantasy and my reality.

The only thing I can think of is when my cat manson died in front of me. He had what we think was a urinary tract infection. We aint too sure cos mum wouldn't let me take him to the vet and he was sick for about 5 days before going into a fit/seizure. Scared the fuck out of me and I cried my eyes out for hours. Fuck I still do now when I think of it.
He was my first cat and my most gorg cat besides phantom that we have now and he is going through the same shit. At least this time we did take phantom to the vets and is slowly getting better.

That reminds me. Manson is buried at my friends house down the road with his sister so I might drop in and say ello.

Hey elvis..That wasn't you in the car was it? haha if so you can't drive very well can you. :P

Would that be before, or after you cpr'd my weiner?
Bunnnnnng

I remember another one that scared me at the time...probably not so much now, but back then...I was doing some stupid shit walking along a metal fence between two brick pillars in front of our house, grabbing the top and kind of swinging side to side when I was like 9 years old...I guess I wasn't looking where I was going, anyways, I snashed my head into one of those brick pillars...my vision was swimming, I fell to the ground, then got up. I started rubbing the area cos it hurt like hell...this really sharp pain on top of my eyebrow and noticed it was wet, pulled my hand away and saw all the blood, like, my whole hand was covered within seconds, then I noticed blood was freefalling from my face onto my shirt, SO much blood (nowadays I wouldn't freak out as much, knowing that head wounds, even of a minor nature PISS blood), and it just kept going.
So, got driven to the hospital, holsing a towel on my head, feeling dizzy - I think I was concussed or something, almost lost consciousness a few times, I'm sitting there thinking I'm dying. Got some stitches in the end, lost a lot of blood, felt tired for ages.
I think what happened was the event that brought on the migrains I still get to this day every now and then. I have a scar on my eyebrow from it, that goes up just a little further, and it still hurts sometimes. But yeah, the massive amount of blood in combination with the dizzziness, as a kid, that was fucked.

Another - My stupid-ass sister dropped my little brother when he was less than a year old, and his head hit the wall too, he was crying and crying, she was freaking out like an idiot (big help), and amidst the chaos, my mother grabbed him, drove him to hospital...he was fine, but yeah, before he got back, I was honestly expecting the worst.

One more that was kinda scary...I was "involved" in a roundabout 20-30 person fight...it could've got a lot uglier and bigger had there not been a security interception. I came pretty close to being one of the combatants rather than just er...yknow...when you hear there's gonna be some shit, lots of guys think it's the smart thing to do, to spectate...that was me. I was also trying to find out what was going on, I was even talking to some of their guys (by the sound of it, the associate of mine had mouthed off to these guys after bumping one...he and his friends were drunk fuckwits that night...but yeah, I'd said to a few of their guys that if this happens, not to bring anyone else into it, and we wouldn't either, that kinda thing...yknow, you TRY and be cool.
But yeah, don't know which came first, but when more of their guys were stepping in on some of the guys I was with or likewise, I grabbed a, hmmm...big metal thing that holds up either end of an emergency roadwork sign? to split it up, then it looked as though it was going to come my way, I was thinking "shit, if I hit someone with this...it's not gonna turn out well" (not that I'd intended using it as a weapon as such, just a "if you don't stop this from getting bigger, you'll get hurt" kind've threat) but yeah people were advancing towards me, and well, I pinned a guy by the throat with it, before putting it down, just for some stupid asshole to grab and throw it at one of them (didn't hit him thankfully, drunk fool)
Anyways, there was local security in the area, who had gathered their numbers...they approached, the fighters dispersed.
The whole scene was pretty chaotic though, felt like it was right on the edge of exploding...not cool...I mean, I've had my fights...but this many people is just recipe for scariness.
I did see one cool thing though, an asian guy on the "other" side actually did a lui kang style flying kick...think he busted one or two of the guys ribs doing it...looked great.

...and then the bike exploded and the body flew up in the air like a rocket then went through the blades of a helicopter and blew up and fell down in peices and the firemen ran around in pairs catching those little peices on those little trampoline things like that one time I was playin' that LCD shit but with body parts instead of whole bodies while the blood went everywhere in a red mist that kinda made the air look like cotton candy, but when you put your tongue out to taste it and then you think hey this cotton candy air's blood flavoured! OHHHHH SHIT, better have an AIDS test?!?!?!?
Wazzit? Wazzit?
HUH?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
