I am so sick and tired of American Horror movies. Everything is a remake. No more original idea's. The Japanese's have been attempting original movies. Lets give them some credit. Good or Bad.

"Infection" was a master piece. And I am very critical about movies. It was creepy and very disturbing. Gore is used so cheap. It's a gimmick in modern horror movies. No plot, no point, throwin' some blood. Now it's scary !

Great ending. It reminded me a David Lynch film. So many theory's. That's the problem with modern cinema. All movies are mindless. The ending makes you question. So you'll come to your own conclussion.

9/10 - Look for a American remake very soon.

I loved Infection. This is one I will definitely buy. As good as it was, I'm surprised I haven't heard more about it.

IMO, the thing that makes Japanese horror great - and this is what the American movies lack - is philosophical tension.

Do you mean psychological tension? I dont think Socrates is running around in a hockey mask jumping out on the characters. :D

Man, someone should make that film! Socrates on a philosophical-tension-filled rampage.

Nah, I really mean philosophical.

American horror is pretty well laid out for you, there is never any question on the outcome.

On the other hand, Japanese horror, you're never sure (at least from my North American perspective), the line is never as clear, therefore it doesn't leave you as is - and that's what creates the tension, which would make some philosophers like Kant, Bataille and Artaud, very happy. The subject (you) are not the same.

It was just ok in my opinion.
