That's cool...I did amateur boxing for about 6 years 93-99 started out as anger mgmt. and stress relief...dang I was in good shape then, but always have loved it on the tube.

Awesome...did you watch the bouts tonight? Edee and I have seen a few good ones in person ...saw Lewis destroy Tyson in Memphis, saw Toney KO Holyfield in Las Vegas (sadly, our only Vegas trip so far) and saw Roy Jones KO Virgil Hll with a body punch in Biloxi, Miss. and hated to see Glen Johnson KO Roy Jones in Memphis.

I love boxing also, as well ass UFC. I tried boxing for a short period of time but was weightlifting so much it interferred and I had constant injuries. So I chose to lift instead. Personally I don't get to see as many good fights, like back in the day. I do go to our Local Golden Gloves every year and that is always amusing.

i used to love boxing in the good old days of the heavy weight division - in other words, pre-Tyson. since then the big boys are boring as hell. . . i do still like the odd espn fight in bantam weight or fly. . . but ahhh for the days when giants roamed the earth.

i used to like ufc - but it seems like its heading towards WWF with all the silly hype

I worked at a Holiday Inn back in 92-93 and the owner was a lover of boxing so he set up a ring under a tent with all this training equipment. Called it "The Training Camp of Champions." I got to spar with Parnell Whitaker, quite a few boxers. Became friends with Lou Duva, quite a few other trainers. We even got to be vip's at a lot of fights. So yeah, I watch every chance I get. But the chances have been little to none lately.

WOW...Swee Pea Whitaker...probably the best defense EVER in Boxing. He honestly beat DeLaHoya and got robbed with the cards.
My dad carried me to see Hagler-Leonard on the Big Screen PPV at the Civic Center...been hooked ever since. SOunds sad but its been kind of fun, we've planned our social parties at the house around good PPV nights...invite people over cook, swim, watch the fights...been getting the PPV since Tyson...so glad he's gone.

Yea...the "SHOW" rivals wrestling alot...but no questining the reality of the UFC vs. the act of wrestling...saw a guy get hit with a knee not long ago...could see the teeth come out in slow mo replay.

Im a fan of boxing. My dad was an enthusiast and very passionate about it. Me and my brother used to watch it with him and when to quite a few matches in Philadelphia. My favorites are Ali, G. Foreman, LaMotta, Chavez, Floyd Mayweather, Winky Wright, Hagler, Hopkins, Bererra, Mannny Pacquiou, Lennox Lewis, Holyfield, Larry Holmes, James Toney. I like boxers who come to fight. With the exception of Ali, I dislike "trash mouth" fighters or those who try too hard to psyche their oppenents out before the fight. I wanna see boxers fighting at their level best.

I like kickboxing and mixed fighting like UFC as well. Been watching since '95. Saw a few underground matches back in '98 in a warehouse outside of Philly in NJ. Actually, it was more like watching a fight club then any legitimate martial arts but that was cool because it was closer to real streetfighting.

I used to love boxing. I really want to get back into it. I haven't watched a fight since Tua vs. Lewis. Pissed me off wrose than paying money to watch Tyson/Golota.

James Toney Vs. Sam Peter #2 on Jan 6th on SHO...hopefully Toney will be in shape enough this time to look convincing. He has to realize his time is running out...with Maskaev and Brigs holding heavyweight belts..its sad, but Holyfield and Toney could be Heavyweight Champs next year...and theoretically, Roy Jones could go back up to Heavyweight and finally fight Toney again, that would be alot more interesting than what's out there there right now.

Toney is soooo frustrating to watch. All defence. The welterwieght division is where all the action is these days

sometimes I'll watch ultimate fighting for a few seconds in hopes that someone gets kicked in the head really hard but usually they just hug eachother and fall on the ground. :(

the Hughes- St Pierre fight was short but sweet as far as UFC is concerned. St Pierre is fucking FAST.

Yeah I caught it. I love Ouma, who wouldn't with his backstory, but JT lookied like a real champion. Total domination. And the undercard...damn!
