its here sooner than i thought.
Saw, Hostel, Wolf Creek, Saw 2, Saw 3,
last night i see an ad for Hostel 2 and something called Touristas.
Its the nouveau grindhouse invasion folks.
Sure it'll be good at first .. then mediocrity will set in.
start out nasty then become watered down so it can reach a broader audience and get the cash drawers ringing.
Its going to be the new wave of direct to video slasher horrors ..
I say enjoy it now but expect the worse before long.
its my prediction ... should i start taking bets ?

How about if I not enjoy it in the first place, won't that be better? Then I can sort of cut to the chase, so to speak. Ha ha! I am the winnah! Winnah! Winnah!

Touristas already looks like its a watered-down version of grindhouse flicks, so I'd say it has already begun unfortunately...

Ahhhh!!! Everyone I talk to spells it "Touristas"!!!! I can't take it anymore! The name of the movie is "Turistas"!
At least Tarantino/Rodriguez are trying to stay true to the genre.

After it starts to become watered down another sub-genre will emerge as the next best thing and we'll get some great movies until that starts to fail... repeat.
