Now I know he can (or coule) write some sweet material (The Shining anyone?) but I wonder if he could direct. I usually stick to my theory of the writers who direct put out more believable films but Im not sure it would apply here. I mean look at Tarantino. Yet, it might still apply for King because the way he writes his characters. They are obviously easily acted (since many of his works have been films) but I think he could direct the actors from what he was thinking in his mind. My recommendation is based on him directing one of his own books though. What you guys think?

Yep. I happen to like it, but a lot of people hate it. I believe King swore to never direct again after that, but I'm not sure.

I wouldn't mind him directing another film either. I mean, did you see Trucks? Maximum Overdrive was a horror opus compared to that piece of poo.

Stephen King is probably one of the best living writers in the world today.

I think he should stick to what he does best, even though I do think that Maximum Overdrive was a very well made film.

Wasn't Maximum Overdrive a re-make of Trucks?

I would have liked that movie better if not for the endless AC/DC loop. I like the band but man, that got annoying.
